Whatever you choose to do during your stay, at the end of the day there will always be a warm welcome at the lodge where you can relax, put your feet up and enjoy a wee dram by the fire.

Interaction with guests:Â Guests can contact the owner at any reasonable time. Access to the lodge is via a key safe available 24 hours a day and sited in the Post Room next to the reception area.
Steve bent over backwards to make sure our was perfect - and it was. We have stayed here several times now and would highly recommend the lodge, the location, the facilities and the host.

Outstanding
The most amazing couple of days in breathtaking surrounds and an outstanding cabin.
Everything about this stay was excellent. The instructions prior to arrival were spot on, the location stunning and the lodge outstanding. Fantastic lodge with every single thing you could wish for and amazing welcome book to cover any instructions or questions you may have. I would go back to this lodge in a heartbeat. This is NOT to be missed. Fantastic

Great base for a weekend wedding at the castle
Nice lodge in a great location with easy access to Blair Atholl and surrounding area. Lovely and clean with lots of nice homely, thoughtful touches. Can’t fault it and I would definitely return.

Great place and location
The cabin has everything you need and perfect for a stay. Second time I've stayed here and would definitely come back. The decking area is also a great size. It's in a great location with loads of good walks nearby and also nice places to eat drink close by.

Nice cabin to explore the area on foot
It is a well equipped, modern well located cabin. Everything you need is available. The location is on the River Tilt and it's easy to take a look at Blair Castle or take a long walk from the house to the Beinn Mheadhonach.

Peaceful and relaxing
The location is beautiful, near the River Tilt, close to local amenities at Blair Atholl. The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need, very comfortable beds, we fell in love with the log burner. Steven is a great host, there were even biscuits in the cupboard.
Had such a fantastic break, definitely won't be our last visit.

Great River views
The Cottage is great and all amenities as described. this older more traditional cottage is located on the Rivertilt Caravan Park. and is at the older end. Sadly there newer part has been denuded of trees and larger static vans are closely packed all in a drab grey making it more like an army barracks rather than a holiday park. We have stayed here on the site in other accommodation the site and the standard has always been good.

Beautiful log cabin in idyllic surroundings
Traditional , yet modern , log cabin with all necessary amenities located in the most scenic location imaginable . Perfect for recharging the batteries ! Steven the owner is always very helpful too . Will definitely be back !!

Wonderful stay
The lodge is modern and well maintained with everything you need for a quiet and relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed watching the DVDs at nights, after walking all day in the beautiful area of Blair Atholl. The central heating meant the lodge was cosy and the wi-fi was very good. We will definitely return.

Excellent stay
Had a fantastic time away for 5 days staying in Chestnut Lodge. Ideal for family of four, the cabin was perfect for us. The owner very helpful and we would definitely stay again.

Also onsite, the Loft Restaurant. There are lots of places to visit including local distilleries, castles, and museums and there are many local events. Chestnut Lodge is in easy reach of Perth, Dunkeld and Pitlochry with convenient transport connections by road and rail.

Getting around could not be much easier considering where Blair Atholl is situated.

At Blair Atholl Station is just over half a mile from the station connecting to Inverness and the North and Perth, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc to the South.
By Bus
Citylink offer bus services between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Inverness. Citylink stop outside the Atholl Arms in Blair Atholl.

Chestnut Lodge is sited within the River Tilt Leisure Park. Keys and instructions to access the Lodge are available at the main reception. There are a number of ways to travel to the Lodge. Please use the following travel instructions to help you with your journey. Add the postcode PH18 5TE to your SATNAV. The Leisure Park is just off the main A9 road at Blair Atholl in Highland Perthshire between Perth and Inverness. It is 35 miles (56km) north of Perth. Blair Atholl approximately 7 miles north of Pitlochry and join the B8079 into Blair Athol. The Leisure Park is clearly signposted in the centre of the village. Take the turning into Invertilt Road and the main entrance to the Park is on the right.By TrainAt Blair Atholl Station, turn right on the B8079 road that runs through the village past Blair Athol Castle gates. Just over half a mile from the station, the Leisure Park is clearly signposted in the centre of the village.
