This is one of two cottages [circa 1852] arranged as five individual self-catering facilities. The.'Henry' Cottage [No. 3] is charming, with a kitchen, large comfortable bed/sit inc.queen-size bed, en-suite, a sun-deck, a patio and is adjacent to the courtyard with gazebo and BBQ--all in appealing garden settings. This Cottage has wheelchair access. The Cottages are over the road from heritage-listed & highly rated Leonard's Mill restaurant, bar & function centre. The Second Valley region has many appealing attractions at this southern region of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. Henry's cottage has wheelchair provisions. One of the outside garden seating locations is under the magnolia tree, to enjoy coffee for two in the morning sunlight. The cottage was clean and tidy The furniture and decor is very dated. Carpets were clean but had some evidence of stains.

Thank you for your review. Yes, we intentionally haven't added a modern fitout for the heritage cottage, but have rather maintained a style to provide an appropriate comfortable ambience.

Nice central location, stayed in Room 4, Capt. Nicolas Baudin, great authentic cottage with information provided in the room detailing the life of the building which was great to read. Nice outdoor bbq area which you can use. Close to other towns if you run...More

The cottages are from the mid 1800's and were restored in the '80's. They have charm and character. Unfortunately they are due for another re-furb if they are going to serve as quality accommodation into the future. Our unit did not have hot water to...More

Thank you for your response. Yes, the broken light and globe issue had occorred immediately before your visit and the tradesman obtained the replacement to fix immediately after. The sink is plumbed with cold water only [170 y.o. building] and we clearly indicate hot water...More
