Riverside Cottage sits in the gorgeous setting of Aros Bridge, 1.5 miles north of Salen on the Isle of Mull. It’s a perfect choice for couples on a romantic getaway and also an ideal, central location for a small family or friends to explore the island.
The cottage sleeps up to four people in one double and one twin bedroom. The open-plan living space has a cosy seating area with log burner, TV and FreeSat plus a bright and spacious kitchen area. The dining area is in the sunroom to the front of the cottage, where guests can enjoy fabulous views to the River Aros and beyond.

Riverside Cottage as its name describes, is a riverside property on the banks of the River Aros, with a private garden leading to the waters edge.
The cottage is a short walk from the ruin of Aros Castle, with its views down the Sound of Mull toward Ben Cruachan on the mainland.
The nearest village is Salen, 1.5 miles away for grocery shopping, restaurants and a Post office.
The cottage is centrally located on the island providing easy access to Tobermory & Dervaig to the North of the island; Craignure & Grasspoint to the East and the beautiful cliff road alongside Loch Na Keal to Pennyghael & Iona in the South.
Getting around
Whilst a car is recommended, the Isle of Mull is bigger than you may think with over 300 miles of coastline, so a car is recommended for exploring. Riverside Cottage benefits from being situated on the bus link to the Ferry Terminals and to Tobermory.
Car hire is available on the island, pick up can be arranged at Craignure. Bike Hire is available in Salen and electric bike hire in Tobermory

How to get there
From the Craignure and Fishnish ferries turn right and drive north to the village of Salen. Drive through the village and continue for around 1.5 miles until the road junction at Aros Bridge (you will see a signpost to Dervaig and the Old Byre Heritage Centre on your left). Continue across the bridge and then take the next right turn. Don't worry if you see the sign saying "No vehicular Access", Riverside Cottage is on a private road. This section of track is unsurfaced and has quite a steep right hand turn down towards the riverside. At the bottom of the bend you will see gateposts on your left. Turn left here and Riverside Cottage is the second cottage on your left.
