The second story was added for salesmen who rented horses to travel the back country. The third story was to accommodate mill workers in 1920. Swim in the river, walk trough local trails. enjoy the quiet life of south western New Brunswick. We are located between Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John, near three wineries and two golf clubs.. About the neighbourhood
Part of the Stonehammer Geo-Park, recognized by UNESCO, Belleisle Bay is ringed by hills from Searsville, through the Midlands, across The Grant and The Settlements, and down to Lower Kars and Erbs Cove. Rain and snow flow down these hillsides by the many streams and into the Belleisle Bay. Both sides of this fiord, a branch of the St. John River System are forested hills with the remains of farms dating back to the late 1700's.
How to get there
In the heart of southwest New Brunswick, an hour drive from Fredericton, Moncton or Saint John. Exit from HWY 2 at Cambridge Narrows/Jemseg Exit 339. Your half hour drive will be over Route 650 over country roads, passing the best farmland the Loyalists created. Check in at Nan's for gas and snacks if you feel uncertain. Great antique store at the cross roads. Continue on 650 to Route 124 where you will immediately arrive at Pleasant-view.If you plan to prepare your supper at Pleasantview, make certain to pick up supplies before leaving the highway. Though there are two restaurants nearby, there are no grocery stores. We prepare breakfast.
