Villa
Villa Amidala is airy, spacious place, with a small garden area. One third of the garden is actually a swimming pool. Hand carved furniture with Kupang motifs give the entire villa a very unique appearance. Apart from spending time in the refreshing swimming pool, you'll also be able to relax in the 5-seater Jacuzzi on the terrace, while your dinner sizzles on the garden barbecue. There are three rooms available. The downstairs room is a private room with a bathroom and swimming pool view. The two bedrooms upstairs are perfect for families, since the bathroom is located between the rooms and can be accessed from both bedrooms. Of course, the access to the bathroom can be closed off from either direction in case the rooms are not used by a family. All rooms have air conditioning. For the western eyes this might not seem so, from the look of the houses in the neighborhood, however don't forget, you are visiting a very under developed Island. There's no Taxi and no public transport in Waingapu / Sumba. We have some mopeds available for rent and a Suzuki Jeep. We'll organize your pickup from the airport, to make sure you are not stolen from us. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 81077451392600

Imre, Judith and Laura are the best exemple of how, without speaking fluent english, you can understand to each other perfectly. The Villa is fantastic and they treated us as if we are their guest in their own house. Showed us some sights near Waingapu moving with a motorbike. Ask for the homemade papaya jam and the choco-coconut cake! Thanks for all!

Second best place to stay on Sumba
If you can’t afford the £1,000 a night price for Nihiwatu (the place Prince Harry stayed with Meghan before they got engaged) then Villa Amidala is the best place to stay in Sumba, and certainly the best place in Waingapu, the capital. Four beautifully furnished double rooms, a superb menu, including a choice of vegan food every day, and friendly hosts. Villa Amidala provides good western standard accommodation, which is very rare on Sumba, still a largely undeveloped island. The owners can arrange all sort of excursions to the sights of Sumba, especially waterfalls and almost empty beaches. On top of all of this you get to meet Amidala, aged 3 at the time of writing!

Beautiful place at Sumba
I was visit this Villa for our honeymoon, and i think that’s a great choice. We had a private room, with a very well organized and modernly furnished. And also a huge terrace with a jacuzzi, bbq and very chill living room with mountain view (unfortunately we came on the rainy season, so we can’t see the sunset from the jacuzzi) The staff and owner very helpful and nice. Breakfast was prepared and served every morning. Staying at Amidala definitely was the highlight our trip

Exceptional! Paradise on Sumba Island!
This was symply a paradise experience! Location is brilliant. Beaches are breathtaking! The villa we stayed is high standard with all the amenities you need. The host made sure that all of us were complately spoiled with the choices of food the island could offer. Delicious it was I must say! Anything we needed they were complately helpful. The hosts were so friendly. The made us feel welcome straight away! This was one of the most brilliant places I ever stayed. I would highly recommend. We had a lovely holiday there! We must return next year! Thank you Klara to make our experience so special!

Comfortable
A comfortable living space on an island that is less developed than Bali. It's a haven when you've been out and about this less developed island for some adventures and end the day by kicking back at Villa Amidala that gives you a sense of familiarity and comfort. Highly recommended!

Undiscovered tropical paradise
Amazingly beautiful island, the real unspoiled tropical paradise! The villa is super comfortable and feels like true luxury in this remote, underdeveloped corner of the Earth. Lovely local lady looks after the house and cooks delicious food, both Western and Indonesian. The owners are very friendly and laid back. They are there to sort out anything you might need. They know the place and will help you to explore this beautiful, exotic wonderland, which otherwise would be quite a challenge even for a seasoned adventurer! Absolutely recommended!

WOW Factor
This place was perfect for business meetings while in Waingapu. The staff served good food and there was great wireless internet. Everything was given for a good and productive working holiday. The mountains and the ocean are in close approximate, therefore it was pleasant to get out in the evening for viewing the sunset. Highly recommended place.
