    Vila Margarida is a real taste of luxury. Not only does it have its own private heated pool and hard surface tennis court it has wonderful gardens and lovely airy spacious accommodation. The villa has 5 bedrooms, 2 double, both with en-suite and three twin, all but one twin are on the ground floor. 3 of the rooms have French doors opening onto the pool terrace. The gardens are large and mature giving a very tranquil and peaceful feel to a visit to Vila Margarida and affording a high level of privacy to guests there.The pool area is sunny and very private and has a wonderful poolside cabana for shade and cool on even the hottest days. The whole terrace and the living rooms behind have spectacular views of the sea and cliffs overlooking Luz Bay.The lounge also has TV with internet system free to air UK TV channels,DVD,CD/radio/casette. There is also a large kitchen with dishwasher and an upstairs cloakroom.Vila Margarida has maid service three times a week.. Outside next to the pool is a splenid, bar/BBQ/outdoor kitchen with sink with hot and cold water, fridge with small freezer, BBQ and 2 ring gas hob. Ideal for outdoor living and dining.     Highly recommended

    We had a great stay at Vila Margarida. Our multi-generational party of 6 adults and 2 kids had plenty of space. The pool is wonderful. We were there for a warm, but not hot, week in May, and the pool heating was fantastic. Our kids...More

    About the neighbourhood
    Praia da Luz is a lovely family resort and the beach at Luz along with many bars,restaurants and shops are an 8 minute walk or less. The beach is long and sandy and ideal for families and backed by a lovely tree lined prom, great for an afternoon stroll and a drink at a beach bar! All the bars and restaurants are family friendly and you can take your pick from casual relaxed beach bars through bistros to more formal fine dining.The historic town of Lagos, a 10 minute drive away, has numerous restaurants, a beautiful marina, nightlife and historic ruins. It is also a lovely place for an evening stroll around the bustling streets with street entertainers, atrists and vendors. If you choose to hire a car there are numerous places of interest within a 30 minute drive, castles, water parks and zoos, forts, marinas etc
    Getting around
    A car is not necessary as the beach, bats, restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance (8 minutes) There is a good local bus service.
