Villa

Villa Saint-Jean is a villa in the truest sense of the word in that it has vast indoor and outdoor spaces offering different atmospheres throughout the day, depending on your mood! The living room and the kitchen are open-space and benefit from very large bay windows opening onto the numerous terraces and stone patios shaded by pergolas. The kitchen is conducive to gastronomy: be your own Chef or bring a private Chef to the villa who will organize a dream barbecue for you! (Stella will give you the contact details of Private Chefs on request). The rooms are comfortably equipped and have stone terraces, adorned with grasses that undulate in the wind. Around the Villa, the landscape offered to visitors is a large Mediterranean garden. Around the Villa, the landscape offered to visitors is a large Mediterranean garden. The south and west facing terraces offer a panorama with a fantastic 360° view of the Ionian Sea, the island of Zante and, of course, the bay of Lourdas in the foreground. The infinity pool has an aquatic bench equipped with a jacuzzi. Grassed areas adorn the garden, giving an unexpected freshness to the sun-drenched environment. From time to time, you will be pleasantly surprised by a light thermal breeze that likes to play with the early olives in September. A comfortable stone staircase leads from the main terrace to the fitness area, the vegetable garden, the orchard and a lounge terrace ("Portokali") equipped with a table and armchairs. The vegetable garden is available to visitors: they will find the perfect (organic) ingredients there to prepare Greek salads! Fitness equipment is available to guests as well as canoe kayaks. To use the canoes, simply go to the Spot attached to the Villa located on the page and recognizable by its beach flag (the access code will be sent to travellers). A small path gives you direct access to the beach without having to go through the village road. You will be captivated by the subtlety of the nocturnal lighting of the garden which highlights the natural magic of the place. On some nights, the moon shines and its reflections in the sea add an extra note to this magic. Shaded workspaces can be organized in many places. The Villa Saint-Jean produces an extra virgin and organic olive oil thanks to its many olive trees as well as those of its annex located upstream of an adjacent hill (Paléo Taverna). You will have the opportunity to taste this local oil. It is quite possible to organize events subject to specifying beforehand to Stella the conditions of this event (nature of the event, number of guests, etc.). An additional flat rate will be invoiced due to the provision of spaces. Service providers for the organization of the event may be proposed by Stella on request. Villa Saint-Jean is particularly suitable for family holidays.

About the neighbourhood

Villa Saint-Jean is located in the lower part of the village of Lourdata, near the agricultural road (Lourdas Beach Road) leading to the long sandy beach (2 km) of the village. It is an exceptional location. Lourdas beach is only about 200 meters away from the property. It is also accessible on foot thanks to a footpath adjoining the property. The beach is partly equipped with deckchairs and parasols, reserving a few wild spaces. Restaurants, bars and small convenience stores and other amenities line the beach. It is also possible to rent nautical equipment. About fifty meters from the property is a well-stocked mini-market (at “Minetos”) as well as the very famous Tavern Thalassino Trifilli where Suzanne and Vagelis will welcome you

How to get there

Steps for your arrival at Villa Saint-Jean (Lourdata, Kefalonia): 1. You have just crossed the upper village of Lourdata, passed in front of La Signora Hotel (on the left side of the road) and you have arrived at the small crossroads on the left side. Then, at the intersection you will see a large gray metal colour gate surrounded by stone walls. It is the Saint-Jean Villa entrance. 2. To get the key, you will have to dial the code on the key safe box : TBD. 3. You open the key safe box and you find inside the key of the Villa as well as a “bip” in order to open the entrance gate which opens automatically once the central small bottom is pressed. Lim will give you further instructions in order to manually open the gate. 4. To close the gate, you have to press again the same central small botton. 5. Then, you access inside the property and reach the parking. 6. You open the villa : the key open the entrance door on the right. 7. Lim and Lora will come every two days for outdoor and pool cleaning. Lim will be happy to give you assistance or any information you may need. His mobile number is +30 ——- (VIBER). Emergency 🆘 numbers and breakfast menu are on the kitchen desk. Please note that each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning and remote controls.
