Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was the quietest place under the sun and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England. Town: A village placed for exploring Cheshire and North Wales, offering shops, a restaurant and a pub. Nearby Ellesmere also has a selection of shops and pubs. Llangollen is certainly worth a visit with the Pontcysyllte Acqueduct and range of amenities and activities.

Country retreat
Lovely Farm Cottage on the Estate. Walks and Views of the farmland and estate garden and tennis courts. Walked down to Pond (fly fishing only) and down to a walk where the stream is all surrounded by trees. Sheep are main stock so if you don't like animal sounds don't go. I loved it personally as I grew up in the country. They've just brought new fridge freezer and are updating it slowly. I didn't mind the decor. It's Country. Space was main reason to visit and so I could paint.

Beautiful retreat
Amazing views, fabulous owners. Cottage is spacious and homely. Lovely open fire, 3 good sized bedrooms and lovely tiled bathroom. Recommend Evans butchers in Overton! Meat was so fresh and flavoursome. You do need a car! We will be back. Such a wonderful Christmas! Thank you so much!
