About the neighbourhood
Situated rurally in a small wooded valley with great views towards the hills. Filming and historical locations for Gentleman Jack & Last Tango in Halifax. The Piece Hall - a recently renovated Georgian cloth market with shopping and regular events. There are walks and cycle routes straight from the door and Marsden Moor is a mecca for birdwatchers. Deer and woodpeckers are seen regularly at the barn. More than 25 pubs and restaurants within 5 miles and well stocked farm shops and supermarkets within 3 miles. Marsden (5 miles) the base for TV series Where the Heart is and location of Standedge Canal Tunnel. Hebden Bridge (10 miles) - voted funkiest place to live with a wealth of independent shops, bars and restaurants.
Getting around
As Crabtree Barn is rurally located and a distance from town centres we recommend travelling by car to and from us. We have contact with a local e bike hire company who can arrange daily hire from just £35.
