Delightful rustic retreat
This is a delightful gite in the very rural hamlet Quilly. The gite we rented is part of a larger property and there are a small number of others in the road. It is mainly peaceful but the gite opposite is large (10 beds) and has so many vehicles and visitors daily, their loud and inconsiderate behaviour spoiled the quiet somewhat.
The gite is rustic and Breton farmhouse style, there is a small kitchen area, a large table and chairs for 6 and a sofa (only enough seating for 4) and chair. The oven was fine for family meals but be aware there is no microwave or freezer if you shop for the week. Plenty of dishes and an excellent dishwasher. There was WiFi but this wasn’t consistently strong enough for our teens to access their devices.
There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs, they are well appointed though the shower is low power. Unfortunately, no one could settle in this room, the large wooden beams have gaps around the walls and ceilings and smelled damp and large spiders were continuously appearing, mice could be heard, though only seen outside - terrifying! There is a washing machine available too.
There were more bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs and again well appointed with a hairdryer, iron and fans for the warm days.
The outdoor space is huge and so beautiful, an excellent hot tub- quick to warm up with a fire (plenty of wood kindly provided and hard covers if you have small children). Badminton net and equipment, umbrellas, little go karts, large seating area, lovely loungers, table tennis, pizza oven, absolutely first class and we so enjoyed sitting under the stars in the hot tub! Beware a cheeky cat who sneaks inside as there was some cat poo around if you have little ones.
The neighbours were kind and helpful too when we had a small leak from the bathroom - one was from the UK luckily as no one else spoke English! The owner was contactable via email where there were some minor things and responded very quickly - we had a new gas bottle within the hour.
We had a great week and would return to this area again, lovely space and property but beware the indoor wildlife - it’s not for everyone!

Lovey house, everything you need
Thank you for allowing our family of 5 to stay in your lovely house. We had 3 children aged 16, 13 & 8 & they were very happy there. The house is equipped with everything you could need. The garden is lovely. Unfortunately the weather was rather unpredictable so we did not get full use of it. The owner was very responsive throughout our stay and nothing was any trouble. Our only very minor issue was the bathroom door kept opening. We had to put the wash basket propped against the door to prevent any of us being caught in the moment!! :-) Obviously not a problem for us, but may be for future guests. But really the house is lovely and we would recommend it for any future visits.
I went for a walk most days from the house and did a loop of around 4km. Even better was when my hubby dropped me in josselin and I walked back up the canal. Highly recommended. Great area for cycling also.

A dream house!!!
It's a wood house, it seems like you're in a tale. It's very cosy and it has got everything you need! The garden is fantastic! Our kids enjoyed a lot, and so did we. Moreover there were a lot of films and toys for the kids too. We would love to come back some day...in fact, our kids remember the house and they ask if we are coming back there this summer! The host was very kind and it's wel placed to visit the region. We sincerely recomend it!

Lovely house in a beautiful natural environment.
Really comfortable rooms. Living space is great though log burner gets pretty smoky at times and poss needs some attention. Fantastic garden and the trampoline was well used 😁.
Nearby bakery is wonderful and we made good use of the local cycle paths

A woderful place to stay, cosy cottage, great garden and countryside
We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Treguguet, the cottage is very comfortable and also a very relaxing place to stay. The boys loved the big back garden and the splash pool and we enjoyed having BBQs and sitting under the large gazebo. The cottage is close to the pretty towns of Vannes, Josselin, Malestroit and Auray, and also to the beaches on the Rhuys peninsular, so well located. We found the beach at Landrezac near Damgan to be one of the best and not at all crowded. It’s a large white sand beach in a large bay, which when the tide is in has beautiful clear water with white sand underneath. All in all, a very nice holiday!

Very relaxing stay
It's a great location for a relaxing stay, with everything that you need and lots to visit within short car journeys. The house itself is a lovely cosy base with enough space for our family. The garden is amazing and kept the kids entertained for hours.
