The house is air-conditioned (cooling/heating) by an autonomous system consisting of fan coil units. Warm water is available from the boiler. The furniture and decoration are luxurious with vintage and antique hand made pieces. You can easily access any place in the described area. You need permission to use the barbecue and we can supply whatever you need. We live next to the villa and we are willing to help our guests with any queries. Dafnes is a traditional Cretan village with a main square, Byzantine chapels, traditional coffee shops and taverns. The locals produce olive oil, wine and raki. There are many traditional wineries which belong to the so-called Roads of Wine. Every year in July there's a Wine Festival. The neighbours are very friendly and polite. The best means of transportation is a car because the house is located in a place between the north and south national road and it is really easy to travel to all directions, especially to the beautiful beaches in the southern part of Crete. It is possible to use a bus and/or a taxi as well. We are always available for any queries you may have. The villa is located at the center of the village but at the same time you can have privacy due to the architectural design. It is within a 20-minute distance away from the airport and port of Heraklion, 15 min from the University General Hospital and 1 hour away from Matala, Agia Galini, Komos etc. (Libyan Sea). Ideal both for winter and summer vacation. Crete is a nice place for vacation all year long. There's always something new to discover in our island each season.
