Holiday Rental House
Overlooking the pretty town of Riberac with its famous Friday market, is Les Tulipiers. It is a tall, 19th century house with 21st century comfort and convenience. Set in a large, mature garden and orchard, there is always somewhere shady to read and enjoy a glass of wine or you can lounge by the 10 x 5 metre heated pool. The four en suite bedrooms are elegant, well-appointed and spacious. There are comfortable beds with high quality linens. The house has been restored and equipped with taste, genuine care and attention to detail; the comfort of our guests is very much the priority. Two bedrooms have 150 and 160 cm beds respectively, one has a 180 cm bed which can be configured as two singles. The large games room has two single beds whilst the self-contained studio has a 4'6' bed. The ga...Overlooking the pretty town of Riberac with its famous Friday market, is Les Tulipiers. Two bedrooms have 150 and 160 cm beds respectively, one has a 180 cm bed which can be configured as two singles. The large games room has two single beds whilst the self-contained studio has a 4'6' bed. The games room also has a full-size table-tennis table. There is a bright, modern open-plan kitchen/living room. There is a laundry room on the first floor with washing machine and tumble dryer. Even on the hottest day, it is cool and welcoming in the house. Outside in the gravelled courtyard, you can enjoy meals at an 8-seater table - a barbeque is provided. The beautiful garden is over 100 metres long and near the top of it lies the heated pool with electric cover to comply with French safety standards. The pool is for our guests' private use and the owners will swim only when guests are not using it. The pool is normally in use from mid-May to mid or late September. Outside these periods, it may be possible to use it, subject to an additional charge. The owners of Les Tulipiers and their friendly dog, Woody, live in the house with two towers, across the large courtyard. Whilst they are on hand to offer assistance with bookings, advice on things to do or anything at all, there is enough space to allow guests their privacy. More

Interaction with guests
We live in a house opposite Las Tulipiers. This means that we can assist you with enquiries, book restaurants and tell you about the area, without being obtrusive. Our past guests often comment on how nice it is to have someone on hand to help when needed but who doesn't intrude. There is plenty of space for everyone in the garden and we have our own outdoor sitting and dining area.

Thank you. It was a pleasure to have your friends staying here for your birthday celebrations. They were great fun and I thoroughly enjoyed their company and getting to know them. I hope that we might see them again in the future.

We both retired early this year at 58 and decided to celebrate with our 3 children and their partners. My eldest son was married in Riberac in 2013 and we loved the area. Choosing accommodation was going to be difficult though to try and match...More

About the neighbourhood
Riberac is a thriving market town of about 5,000 people, located on the River Dronne. It is surrounded by farming country but also thrives on tourism in the summer months.Fishing and riding are available not far from Riberac and in the summer it is fun to take a picnic, hire a kayak or canoe and spend the day on the Dronne. You might be lucky and see an otter on the river bank The town's tennis courts, petanque pitch and cinema are within easy walking distance. Cycles to hire can be delivered to the gite. Just a few minutes by car will take you into the ancient Double forest or to the renowned Dordogne countryside, with its sunflowers, gentle hills and picturesque stone houses. We can provide maps for interesting walks. Dont miss the market on Fridays - buy a sweet melon and roasted chic...
How to get there
Air: Ryanair and Flybe fly to Bergerac, however, BA and Easyjet also fly to Bordeaux, which is about 120 km from Riberac (1hr 30 mn drive)Ferry: The Calais crossing is the shortest, but the ferry to Dieppe makes the drive to Riberac from the ferry quite a bit shorter (5hr 30mn)Train: Eurostar from London St. Pancras to Lille or Paris and then TGV to Angouleme. Total journey time: between 6.5 and 8 hours>NB: If you decide not to drive or hire a car, it may be possible to arrange collection from the airport or railway station.
