Standing on a hill overlooking the farmland and forest Villecartier, Bazouges-la-Pérouse meaning 'Basilica of stones' is a Small City of Character. There is a whole forest to explore just behind the property with a ramblers route leading to Ville Cartier and onto Mont Saint Micheal. Sorrounding towns well worth a visit for art, history, restaurants and street markets are Comburgh, Fougeres, Dol-de-Bretagne, Cancale, Dinan, Rennes.
Getting around
The interpretive trail: accompanied by a roadmap (available at the Tourist Office in the village center), discover the rich heritage of the Small City of Character... stories, anecdotes, riddles and poems on buildings and characters famous, decorate your walk. Hike to Recrenature at the forsest of Ville Cartier where there are various ramblers routes, a minature port with small boats for children's rides, a creperie, acrobranch and horse riding.
