Beautiful gites in stunning surroundings near to the picture-postcard town of Penne d'Agenais. We stayed in the spacious Belle Vue (Racachi) gite which has a cosy wood burning stove for any cold snaps and a beautiful terrace for the sunny weather. The grounds of the complex are just perfect, especially for walking around and seeing wildlife; one day we saw two deer right from the gite window! The site has everything you could possibly need and Sarah and Paul are so kind and helpful, always available to give advice or just for a chat, yet at the same time respecting our privacy. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise, we especially enjoyed the walnuts from the tree outside. For idyllic surroundings and excellent hosts we'd definitely recommend all to stay at Domaine de France. Thank you Paul and Sarah!

What a totally relaxing place to be. The gites are surrounded by beautiful grounds with a variety of trees including a walnut tree outside our gite, as well as grapevines. Its lovely to walk round the 9 acres and take in the surrounding scenery. The gites are a little dated in places, which is not a negative, but the owners are relatively new and have great plans for them, whilst keeping their prices the same next year! There is everything you need in the gites, and more......as well as a great welcome basket of fresh fruit, cheese, bread, wine, cake, biscuits, milk and juice. There are 3 gites in total and B&B is available in the main house. There is a games room with a pool table, football table, lots of books and games, as well as a little kitchen area. Ideal for evenings in, or if it rains. There are many leaflets of places to see and things to do. Outside is an outdoor dining area, great for BBQ's with other visitors. BBQ's are also available for each gite. There are laundry facilities on site, which is really useful if you have children. The pool area is surrounded by trees and grass, which makes it very relaxing, with comfortable chairs and loungers. It is a great base for places to visit close by. Our favourite day was Sunday when we went to a small market in a very picturesque village called Pujols, with great 360 views of the surrounding area. There's lovely places to eat and drink; we had a coffee in a small bar playing light jazz....perfect for a relaxing Sunday. We then went to Le Stelsia hotel, which is a chateau painted in various loud colours, with art and sculptures around the grounds. There's places to eat, from a cafe to a 5* restaurant, as well as crazy golf and a kids area. Its well worth a visit and only a few minutes drive away. The owners of Domaine de France are English and could not have looked after us any better if they tried. They are full of top tips of places to visit and are really lovely to chat to. They have settled in extremely well and already having a knowledge of the area from many years of holidaying in the area, they are able to advise on things to do and places to see that will be of personal interest to you. We visited Cahors, which is a beautiful town surrounded by a river. There is a viewing point to look over it, which is stunning. Closest to the gites is a small hilltop village called Penne D'Agenais, where you can see the gites from. Its lovely to explore, with lovely places to eat. On the top is a church and some ruins said to be a settlement by Richard the Lionheart. All in all, this was definitely the most relaxing holiday we have been on and were not ready to go home!

We had two great weeks. We stayed with our two children (7 and 9 years old) in Le Rosier. Paul and Sarah are very nice people who do everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The bottle of wine upon arrival was really a pleasant surprise and the weekly get together was fenominal, twice..... :) We recieved many tips from Paul and Sarah about the nice places to visit in the area, so we experienced the French live to the fullest. The two boys emjoyed the swimming pool and the game room very much. The apartment Le Rosier is very spacious and well-kept and has a nice terrace. We will definitely return!! Un domaine magnifique dans une belle région , avec une vue superbe sur le village de Penne d'Agenais. La petite maison avec son jardin et sa terrasse donnant sur la piscine est parfaite pour un couple. Le site est très fleuri , arboré et très bien entretenu par les charmants propriétaires. Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement et avec beaucoup de petites attentions qui font la différence. A recommander

Fantastic place to relax and explore. Friendly and accomadating hosts through out the stay. Beautiful scenery on their land and very close to the picturesque village of Penne D'Agenaise. Highly recommended place to stay.

A great place to unwind and recharge the batteries, set in the middle of large park like grounds with stunning views of picturesque Penne D'Agenais. The three Gites can accommodate 2 to 14 people people ( 1bed with mezzanine 2 to 4 people) (2 bed 4 to 5 people) (2 bed 5 to 6 people) in a lovely barn conversion with original features that are well equipped. There is a large (11 metre) pool that can be enjoyed when a little warmer and there is even a games room. It is very reasonably priced. It is a short walk to a water park that is ideal for children, which includes a restaurant. A further walk takes you to the medieval town of Penne D'Agenais, with it's quaint streets and shops and it's beautiful domed church that can be seen for miles around. The town also has a large choice of restaurants for most tastes. You can walk (or drive) to the close by river Lot with it's various water sports and views. Within a drive are three interesting Chateaux and many interesting towns and villages of the area. If you like walking / cycling / day trips or just time by the pool it is well worth considering.
