They consist of a complex of 2 buildings that have been characterized as protected monuments by the Ministry of Culture, having singular architectural, morphological and technical elements on their facets and interior typology.
The buildings are stone-built, and have been fully renovated, using old restoration techniques and local materials from the adjoining mountains, without interventions that could alter their initial character, the location’s memories and aroma alive....More

It’s worth noting that our houses are in a village around 14km from Heraklion City. The busy beaches of Heraklion as Ammoudara beach - Amnisos beach, are less than 20 minutes away.
The village itself offers small and friendly supermarkets and a handful of sleepy tavernas with panoramic views of the mountains, The sea and olive groves.

AMMOUDARA BEACH - GAZI HERAKLION CRETE & TRADITIONAL CRETAN HOUSES
Ammoudara is a 14 kilometer long sandy beach that stretches from the west end of Heraklion to Linoperamata near the village of Gazi. It is easily accessed by local bus services from the city. The sand is fine and blond and extends several meters to the land and the sea is clear and safe.
The predominant winds during the summertime are N, N-W usually 'meltemi' that get more fresh at the western end of the beach, where a windsurf school and water sports center is located. Along the shore there are hotels, some of them very large complexes, taverns, restaurants, bars, cafes that offer umbrellas and sun-beds on the beach. There are also lifeguards in some spots.
