Interaction with guests
I always meet my guests and show them around, but can be called if needed. The most important thing is that you enjoy your stay at the cottage in this beautiful area, I want to ensure that guest feel they have superb value for money and I do my best to provide quality accommodation at a very fair price, recommend it and return. as many of my guests do.. The dog rules are not on the furniture and not upstairs. This applies to my own dogs too by the way. If I can help I will.

About the neighbourhood
Pen Y Banc is 3.5 Miles from the un-commercialised Market town of Bala and very central to Snowdonia National Park and areas of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The area is known locally as the Lake District of Wales but without the traffic and congestion of the more famous Lake District in the North of England. In 1882 'Bala and the surrounding area is described as a quiet little town situated near the end of Bala Lake on the North Side of a wide cultivated valley. A hundred years ago it was more quiet and rural still. ( in 1782) The scenery is pastoral in it's character, hilly rather than mountainous, but well wooded and watered. Altogether it is a pretty, cheerful, healthy spot'.. It remains so.
Getting around
A car, bike or motor bike are essential for guests visiting this area. Public Transport is very limited and there is no service to the Hamlet of Sarnau, the nearest pick up point is Llandderfel where you can leave your car. There is much to do and explore in this contrasting, beautiful, accessible part of Wales.
