You can't beat this property or these hosts in the Tobermory area. They are so friendly and very accommodating, you will feel like one of the family for sure. The property itself is very well stocked and has everything you need. It's also situated perfectly so you have private access to the water for swimming or kayaking, it's quiet enough that you can enjoy the nature, but the main town is a really short trip away. We have visited this property multiple times and it never disappoints and that should tell you everything you need to know!

Best location for kayaking, watching sunsets and having a campfire. Property is immaculately kept. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the fresh vegetables from the garden!

Just got back from another amazing stay at North Paw with Dave, Tim and Cinder. Lots of kayaking, hiking and S'mores. We loved every minute. Can't imagine a more relaxing place. Simply spectacular!

We arrived at the home and found a beautiful garden playing host to monarch butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators. We received a warm welcome from Dave and Tim (and of course Cinder, the resident dog and Emmett, the resident cat). The home is super clean, modern, tastefully decorated and fully equipped with anything you may need. The bed is very comfortable with warm blankets for the cooler evenings. The washroom is quite large. There were plenty of fluffy white towels and supplies. We most enjoyed the sound of silence. We loved the spectacular sunsets sitting on the Adirondack chairs, bonfires (thanks to Tim for setting that up for us), stargazing and watching shooting stars late into the evening. Thank-you Dave and Tim for your warm hospitality, your advice on what to see, sharing interesting stories and making our stay very relaxing. We look forward to visiting again soon.

North Paw is secluded and absolutely stunning with water views on 3 sides of the property. The sunsets are magical. Dave and Tim are the most attentive and personable hosts. Along with their gorgeous pup Cinder and Emmett, their cat, they ensure you have an amazing time. Fire pit ready to go in the evening (this may have been because we were a group of 3 city ladies), all we needed to do is strike the match, the most fluffiest towels, and lots of them, including beach towels. The place is spotless and well equipped. Water shoes, lifejackets and kayaks all supplied. Dave and Tim were always available and quick to respond. They were happy to provide kayak suggestions and maps, along with restaurants to try. They are seriously next level hosts! It's hard to sum up the experience in words, but do yourself a favour and book this giant slice of paradise surrounded by nature. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to return.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The property, which is a few kms outside of Tobermory, is beautiful and very private/quiet.

Hosts Dave & Tim were extremely responsive from the get go with a near instantaneous communication containing their “North Paw” recommendations for everything from Hiking trails/beaches to Boat tours to local restaurants/shops in the area. They (inclusive of pets Cinder & Emmett) were extremely welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. From a guided tour on Kayak of the nearby shipwreck to a pre-arranged campfire on two of the nights during our stay (we had mentioned in passing that we city folk might need help) - Dave & Tim seemed to effortlessly do things to make our stay a memorable one. The location was as advertised & more (for instance, the towels were incredibly soft & the views from the property, inside and out, were out-of-this-world ! We felt tremendously grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at their property and would go again in a heartbeat.

Dave and Tim are exceptional hosts in every way. They are almost as social as their pets Emmit and Cinder. There is no place like the Bruce Peninsula and and no where as beautiful to stay as North Paw.

Good experience first time going to cottage with my family and kids loved it had a blast in the surrounding area doing kayaking, gazing stars at night with fire pit. Kids loved playing with Cinder as well. Dave and Tim were good host and answer all our quries and suggested good restaurants around the area. Last day of the night was awesome beautiful night for star gazing and warmth of firepit was something else.

Amazing modern well equipped waterfront accommodation with spectacular views of Hay Bay. Private entrance. Owners on site were pleasant and offered many tips on exploring the area. Outdoor BBQ, fire pit, muskoka chairs, kayaks. Kitchen/dining has all the comforts of home. TV, internet. Would certainly stay here again. Above our expectations!
