Sunny, warm weather and beautiful seaside scenery and beaches combined with cultured cities such as Carcasonne, Perpignan, Aigues Mortes and ancient Roman ruins make for an interesting holiday experience. The region blessed with many wineries extends along the Mediterranean coast to the Pyrenees Mountains. The landscape has wild rocky gorges, colourful orchard groves, and vibrant market gardens. The ancient hilltop villages and ruined castles on mountain crags such as the Cathar castles add an element of romance.

Peacefully situated on the edge of a 'typically French' village, with far reaching views over vineyards to the Corbières hills, this spacious villa has a private pool, wi-fi and barbeque and south facing terraces for dining and sunbathing.

A large, well equipped and comfortable house in a quiet village with lovely views. A car is very useful because the village is reasonably small, but there are lovely walks from the door and the city of Carcassonne is an amazing daytrip. My kids loved the pool and games room and the adults enjoyed a glass of rose by the...

Nice roomy house set in a small peaceful village. You would need a car to be able to experience the surroundings eg. Carcassonne. With the pool, and outside BBQ area, everything is provided for a relaxing break. One great thing about this, is that shade can be found on all aspects of the villa. With a downstairs bedroom, this is...

Management response:

Thank you for the great feedback. It is indeed necessary to have a car, although there are taxis a available for local trips too.

We had a brilliantly relaxing stay in the lovely village of St Jean de Barrou in May last year going on lots of walks through the vineyards where there didn't seem to be any restrictions as to where we could wander. The children loved playing table tennis down stairs at the villa when they weren't in & out of the...

Management response:

Dear Linda Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. It certainly looks as if you packed a lot in to a short visit. Hope to see you and the family again soon.
