Villa
Villa Amandiere is situated in Cavalaire sur mer, a small seaside family resort only 10 miles from St Tropez. The villa is a typical Provençal building with wooden beams, terrace and sits in lovely landscaped Mediterranean gardens. The villa has 3 bedrooms, one with an e suite, they are all of a good size with built in wardrobes, and 2 of the bedrooms have French doors leading on to the garden.
The lounge/dining room is of a good size with 2 sets of French doors leading onto the gardens. There is a beautiful fireplace, and the villa has electric heaters throughout. There is also a dedicated work space with desk, wifi and printer for guests who need to work during their stay.

Villa très sympa au calme avec grand jardin et terrasse
Dans les hauteurs de Cavalaire (15 min à monter du village, seulement 10 seulement à descendre) au calme. Trois chambres, grande terrasse, beau jardin fleuri.
En anglais: cosy. Nous y revenons...

Charming Coastal Villa with Gracious Hosts
Our stay in this charming villa went beyond our expectations in every way. The town was a lovely combination of vacationers and French families who live there year round, right on the coast and convenient to other outstanding places like Ste. Tropez. Cavalaire sur Mer is a beautiful, sunny spot with a marina, beaches, shops, restaurants, and water sports.
It is appropriate for all ages. We saw many families and couples. The town had a strong sense of local community, and was welcoming to visitors. Most places had English-speaking staff. If you are not familiar with French beach culture, please note that this small town closes shop from about noon to 3 or 4 PM each day except in the high season of July/August. It's OK; take a beach break or a nap. You need the rest anyway, right?
The villa owners made us feel welcome from the very beginning, answering our questions and providing many insights into beaches, shops, and restaurants nearby. They clearly love their home and the opportunity to share it with other good people.
The home gets a good breeze from the sea, especially at night. The yard is well kept and has several spots to sit and read, eat a meal, or nap. There is a hammock, BBQ grill, lounge chairs, tables, ping pong table, and clothesline. You'll feel at home very quickly. The kitchen has what you need to cook meals or to stow your picnic supplies for a beach day or a drive to local towns and wineries.
There are three bedrooms plus a pull out bed in the living room to accommodate an extended family. The third bedroom is off the kitchen and has its own WC and shower and is where you'll find the washer and dryer. The third bedroom is very private for a teen or a second couple. There were only three of us, but I could see two families or a grandparents/parents/kids combination staying here.
There are DVDs, books, and games for a rainy day and wifi access is flawless.
We found everything we wanted here for a lovely family vacation. It was peaceful, homey, beautiful, convenient, and welcoming. We hope to find ourselves here again one holiday.

Beautiful villa, excellent location, exceptional value for money
We stayed at Villa Amandiere between 1st-8th Feb, weather could have been a little better, however, villa made up for what weather lacked.
Villa and gardens much bigger than expected. Beautiful sea views from decking and an amazing sculpted olive tree next to the covered outdoor patio dining area, which we could light at night.
Villa located in a quite cul de sac, secured drive, beautiful gardens.
Villa neat clean and tidy, with every convenience that we required.
Car really desirable, for this villa as though the town centre shops and beaches are only 10 mins walk away, there is quite a steep hill for the last 200m on your return.
Cavalaire is charming with a good choice of restaurants and shops. We found the supermarket, Carrefour to be excellent value.
We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone else- excellent value for money.

About the neighbourhood
The climate in this region is a Mediterranean one, with mild winters, warm spring and autumn and hot summers. There is usually a breeze in the summer months to keep cooler and sometimes the mistral wind blows. The sea temperature is around 22 to 24 degrees in the summer. There is skiing north of Cannes and Nice during the winter so you can be on the beach in the morning and skiing in the afternoon!
Even in the early spring months it is possible to eat outside as the temperature this year is particularly mild being 17’ today in the sun, an a sea dip always possible!
Getting around
Locally there is a free 'navette' service a bus that stops at the bottom of the hill and takes you to local beaches this runs in peak months, but the local bus service is also very good and is only 3 euros. All the area is serviced by the buses, although they do not run in the evenings except to Toulon.
It makes a lunch in St Tropez a very easy option, allowing a glass or 2 of the local Rose wine possible.
Pedal bikes are available for hire from April through to October and there are many dedicated cycle routes.

How to get there
Flights from the uk go to Nice, Marseille and Toulon. The bus from Toulon is only 3 euros to Cavalaire, but if you are flying into Nice or Marseille it is advisable to hire a car, it is useful, although not essential to have one when in Cavalaire. The drive time is around one and a half hour from either Nice or Marseille.
