Set in a quiet Oxfordshire village, this modern house is set over 3 floors. The top two floors comprise a self contained three bedroom house. The ground floor is a self-contained apartment, which can be rented in addition or on its own. The prices quoted are for the 3 bedroom house. The house is wonderfully light due to the large glass walls (floor to ceiling windows) and many doors opening onto the balconies. In the sitting room one whole panel slides, giving access to the balcony with steps down to the garden. Clever arrangements of overhanging roof, balconies and exterior blinds mean that the house remains cool on the hottest of days. On the middle floor, entrance door level, there is a large open plan sitting room (approx 9m x 4.5m), fully fitted kitchen, open plan dining area, which can seat 8 easily, utility room and separate cloakroom, accessed off spacious entrance hall. On the top floor there are 3 double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a very large ensuite, with bath and separate shower and the other two bedrooms are served by a large family bathroom, also with separate bath and shower. All bedrooms open onto balconies. (On the ground floor there is a self-contained flat with sitting room and double bedroom. See details below.) The property benefits from underfloor heating. Blinds for additional security and light management are fitted to ground and first floor external windows/ doors. In the summer the property remains comfortably cool due to clever arrangements of overhanging roofs, window vents and external blinds. There is a patio and garden available for visitors use, plus barbecue. Car parking space is also available for up to 3 cars. APARTMENT SLEEPS 2 IDEALLY OR 4 IF THE SOFA BED IN THE SITTING ROOM IS USED. AVAILABLE TO RENT SEPARATELY, AT AROUND £50 A NIGHT FOR TWO PEOPLE. PLEASE USE OWNER ENQUIRY TO CHECK PRICES AND AVAILABILITY. In the apartment there's a large double bedroom, large bathroom and kitchen/diner opening to the sitting room. The kitchen has recently been renovated, providing everything you need including dining for 4 people. Both the bedroom and sitting room have direct access to the garden. The ground floor sitting area is open to the kitchen. The bedroom is accessed from the sitting room. There is a large bathroom with bath, in-bath shower, toilet and sink. If renting the whole house, the flat can be accessed through the house. If rented separately access is from the parking area, via the garden and down steps into the open plan kitchen/dining area. Please contact owner for information on availability. There is excellent, easy walking from the property to the nearby town of Faringdon (2 miles). The Village: has an Indian/Thai restaurant/pub. Faringdon provides all the usual facilities, including a number of excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as shops and supermarkets. There are many lovely local pubs, especially those along the river Thames. Nearby, Radcot has reputedly the oldest bridge on the Thames and was the site of a famous battle in the days of King Stephen and Empress Matilda. What to visit in the area: Oxford City just 25 minutes away London 1.5 hours by train right on the edge of the Cotswolds, with Cirencester within 40 minutes and Cheltenham 50 minutes. Bristol centre just over an hour. Cardiff, Wales under 2 hours. More

The owner works full time and will let you know if she will be around during your stay. The main house is her normal residence,so there are many staples provided in the kitchen. She is happy to meet guests, show them around and advise on places to visit, subject to availability She is also happy to organise provisions for your arrival.
