A modern luxurious apartment with great beach access and a swimming pool. This 2 level, 3 bedroom apartment is large, cool and breezy with a fantastic location right on the beachfront of the Indian Ocean. The apartment can easily accommodate up to 6 people, with 2 double and 2 single beds in 3 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities.The kitchen, living, dinning rooms are open plan with a high pitched roof giving a spacious airy feel. The doors open wide onto the balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean and pool. Now with free internet.

Blue Bay cove Pent House 4

😁The pent house has a strategic location, great sea view rooms, spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. The children loved the pool which was clean too. Pent house is on the beach front and we enjoyed the walk on the beach, and the any time beach breeze from our seaview outside porch /canopies. Beautifully maintained lawns were a site to behold. Jane was a great host, made us great dishes and kept the house clean throughout. Car hire was readily available with the help of Jane. 😐The TV set though 'DSTV' had only 4 foreign channels. Try include more channels including local since most of us locals love keeping it kenyan. Other than that litle detail that can be quickly fixed, i will definately recommed the pent house to my family & freinds.

Blue Bay Cove Penthouse 4

This is by far, 1 of the best places I've spent my vacation. I currently live in the US Ms Jane is an exceptional house manager . She is very informed & very well connected to local vendors to enable easy transition to goods & services. She also makes the best meals. My son who is a picky eater, always had 2nds of her soul-prepared meals. The location of the property offers a pure zen effect. I enjoyed listening to the waves since that's what I love most about being by the beach. Also it's close to ocean but it's not beach front . The pent house is very spacious. Honestly, I've already recommended a few friends already PS The last pix taken is Ms Jane & I She was the icing on the cake . Much love & blessings

Great family getaway location

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely decor, relaxing atmosphere. Scenic view of the ocean from the balconies. The children loved the swimming pool and there was a baby pool for the very little one. We'll be back!

Amazing week overlooking the Indian Ocean

Booking was so easy and when we arrived Jane looked after us so well for the week. The apartment was stocked with all the basics.. loo roll replaced daily,apartment cleaned everyday by lovely Jane. The view of the sea was amazing, lovely to hear the crashing waves at high tide. The walks on to the beach we took advantage of and were spectacular and differnt in both directions. You had village life, rock pools and long white beaches. the apartment had everything we needed and in town so easy to pick up supplies and pop out for dinner. Every one so helpful and kind. Easy to arrange mobile masseuse and I had a sneaky pedicure, my husband had a great deep sea fishing experience and finally caught his sailfish,snorkeling and stand-up paddle boarding.

Perfect location and wonderful home

This is the 4th time our family travels to Watamu and this is, by far, the best place we've stayed in. The apartment is located close to restaurants and shops. The view from the balconies was superb and the pool is well maintained. Our kids loved it! Janet, the apartment's administrator, was incredibly helpful and kept the apartment sparkly clean. Kitchen is well stocked and Deborah was very kind to have some essential groceries ready at our arrival. Witg small kids these details are priceless! We plan to return as soon as we can.

My family and I had a great time at your place. Your apartment is very nice, clean, spacious, well equipped, and all the furniture & decor fits the holiday mood. The view from all sides is breathtaking. Jane was there to welcome us and ensured that we are comfortable. A true reflection of coastal hospitality. Jane is both a good listener and empathetic. Local food joints and restaurants with mouth watering cuisine are walking distance from your villa. Thank you so much for making our holiday memorable.

Pefect beach family holiday!

Booked this along with one other adjacent apartment for a family vacation. There were 15 of us including kids and we loved that we had more than enough space! The large living room opens up to a balcony with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The location is a short walk from a beautiful cove and also the touristy Watamu village where we took evening walks and enjoyed Italian ice-cream. We hired a local chef to cook local Swahili meals every day and the kids still talk about the food a year later. We certainly plan to be back!

Superb view, cosy living area, lovely bedrooms and close to the beach.

Blue Bay Cove opened up to my eyes like a blossom in the gentle morning sun. The sunrise and sunsets were true gems, not to mention the two beaches that are a bare 200 Metres close to the hotel. The tiny cove beach would be an excellent hideout for the couple or the bookworm with the sound of the surf crashing on the bare rocks...heavenly. Please rent this, and oh, the chef was excellent.

Excellent apartment, excellent location

This penthouse apartment was fantastic, very spacious on two floors, with 2 great balconies to sit and enjoy the sunset from either the lounge or master bedroom. Apartment was cleaned to a high standard everyday. Location is great over looking the sea and close (walking distance)to beach & local restaurants etc. Overall a great place to stay with family or friends, will definitely be going back.

Beautifully furnished, gorgeous views, delicious food...amazing place to stay!

This apartment was perfect for a quick getaway from Nairobi with some friends and our small daughter. We loved the furnishings, the well-equipped kitchen, the comfy beds, the multiple balconies all with lovely views of the ocean, the pool, the beach access and the convenience to restaurants, supermarkets and fresh seafood. Directly in front of the apartment buildings is a lovely cove with some sand, but a lot of big rocks and tidal pools, perfect for exploring and seeing tidal life. There was no one there trying to sell us anything (except octopus freshly caught!). Just around the corner (maybe a 2 min walk) is a beach with the softest sand I have ever felt. It is in a sheltered bay so the waves are small and it is great for swimming once you get past the seaweed (might only be the time of year). Here there was more beach shops, bars, etc, and the usual crafts and tours sellers that go with them that tended to be persistent. The pool in the apartment complex was clean and had a baby pool perfect for little ones. We were there in off-season so had the place virtually to ourselves, though I imagine it would be nice (if not as quiet/private) at any time of the year. I really can't think of anything I didn't love about this rental! One of my best renting experiences of a house/apartment!

About the neighbourhood

Watamu is an extremely safe holiday destination. The locals are very friendly and you have many locally crafted goods/souvenir shops on your doorstep. There are a couple of well stocked supermarkets and lots of great restaurants. You also have a selection of Hotels that offer various water sports and evening entertainment. There is plenty to do in Watamu. Dhow cruises with dinner, deep sea fishing, glass bottom boats, snorkelling, Scuba diving, various other water sports. Gede Ruins, Kipepeo Butterfly farm, Mangrove forest of Mida Creek, with boardwalks, to name but a few.

Getting around

Most of the places you need are within a short walk away, i.e. supermarkets, restaurants, casino and Sports Hotel. However, you can easily ride a Tuk Tuk that will take you to your destination and they are very cheap. Also taxis are available or rent a car if you wish to go further afield.

How to get there

Mombasa has an international airport and the drive takes about 1 hour. Malindi airport is much closer and it takes about 25mins by road. You can also drive from Nairobi although it does take a minimum of 7 hours. There are various tour companies that organise safaris which you could include on the way to the coast.
