Casa Magnolia opened for its first season as a holiday let in 2012, Casa Magnolia is a fully self-contained, detached property set in its own landscaped garden. With both air conditioning and under-floor heating, it provides spacious, good-quality accommodation for a memorable holiday all year round. Suitable for families or couples, it is situated in the exclusive, secure, gated community of Sotogrande, close to the famous Valderrama golf course. With four large double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, the villa is suitable for two or three families or four couples. With its tempting pool and well-laid-out garden, Casa Magnolia is ideal for those who desire total relaxation. Golf enthusiasts will find several renowned golf courses within a 15-minute drive from the property (two sets of golf clubs are available in the villa). Spa lovers will also enjoy the facilities at the nearby Sotogrande hotels, which offer a selection of beauty treatments. There are good supermarkets within a five-minute drive and the BBQ helps ensure that it is the perfect place to relax of an evening. Those wishing to eat out can find plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets within a 10-minute drive. The villa is quiet and not suitable for those wishing for a busy nightlife within walking distance. There are several beaches within a 5/10-minute drive so sand lovers can also be sure of an enjoyable stay. Places to visit also include Gibraltar with its duty-free shopping and, of course, the famous apes, which can be seen by taking a cable car or a bus tour. The Key Ceremony that takes place in the square daily is also of interest. Puerto Benus with its celebrity lifestyle and yachts also has a fantastic beach. The port of Sotogrande has its own display of yachts and is the perfect venue to enjoy people-watching while sipping some sangria at one of the many harbourside cafés. About the neighbourhood

Both within 15 minutes' drive are El Cucurucho Beach Club, including the Iguana Park children's play area, and the Sotogrande Racquet Centre. Also nearby is the El Octogono Beach Club, with children's summer play activities, watersports, catamaran sailing, jetskiing, waterskiing, kayaking and tennis. The inland reservoir of Embalse del Guadarranque has beautiful panoramic views and is approximately 40 minutes away. Looking down on to the reservoir is the Castellar de la Frontera, a fortress village that holds numerous fiestas during the year. About 30 minutes' drive away is Estepona, dominated by the majestic Sierra Bermeja. This mountain range is formed from volcanic rocks rich in iron oxide, which gives it a characteristic reddish tinge. The old village has retained its authenticity, with the fish auction still being held every morning. Visit Ronda and enjoy the spectacular views from the gorge (you can even walk down by the river in the valley bottom). The city is split into two by the gorge: most of the sights lie on the south side among the whitewashed houses and cobbled alleys.

How to get there

Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar. The villa is situated near to the famous Valderrama golf course. Car hire companies are easily found at either Malaga airport or in La Linea. There is a 1 hour 15 minute journey from Malaga and approx 20 minute drive from Gibraltar. All major airlines fly to Malaga from across the UK. EasyJet, Monarch and British Airways fly to Gibraltar.

Notes from owner

A discount will be given for stays of over two weeks in the winter season. Please e-mail your requirements for a quote. No extra charge will be made for infants/small children using the occasional bedding. A 25% deposit is due on booking and payment in full eight weeks prior to your visit. The security deposit of £200 will be held and returned within 10 days of your return home.
