We could'nt have asked for a more perfect venue for an 80th suprise getaway, only more time......... Jacana is a luxurious house with a perfect view of the River and all the amenities one could ask for. One need not leave the house to get a game experience as the Ellies, Hippos and Crocs are the morning afternoon and early evening entertainment every day. If you do ask for William, he was so interesting and knowledgeable even teaching us that the Magic Gwarrie is used as a "bush toothbrush". Sunsets on the deck and nights around the firepit with the bush sounds as our music was magical. Thank you Mariska for assisting us with our booking.

What a gem, dont miss this one
Located at the more peaceful are of Mjejane with superb facilities. Its very hard to say what I enjoyed the most
- Watching Kruger from the patio: giraffes, buffalos, hippos, elephants
- Infinity pool
- Beautiful lodge
- Extreme beautiful bedrooms
- Large covered area and sofas outdoors and indoors
- The best amenities: small gym, top kitchen, ice machine, cover and open air boma, pool table etc etc
I strongly encourage to book this place, you will not be dissapointed
For game views: Mjejane has excellent possibility to see big 5 and game drives can be arranged for morning and evening. As they take just a few hours you can returns to the lodge to enjoy the day and get go back to game viewing during the evening.
If you would like to explore Kruger, you can go to a full or half day.

Excellent accommodation
Staying at Jacana lodge was an amazing experience. The lodge is immaculate and they did not hold back on making the lodge elegant and comfortable. My kids were entertained with the pool, jungle gym and play room and my husband and I enjoyed sitting around the fire at the boma listening to the sounds of the Kruger. A fantastic getaway for all ages.

A magnificent relaxing one with nature stylish spot!
Jacana River Lodge is a must visit!! From the moment you park your car at the entrance till the end of your stay you feel relaxed, special & treated! The attention to detail is fantastic & the lodge caters for your every need. Whether you feel like a braai on the viewing deck or the boma or the downstairs braai, they are all there and ready! The elephants & hippos splash in the river and the birds are magnificent and a variety of buck & wildlife are constantly on your front doorstep! One with nature and an experience of a lifetime! With aircons in the rooms and the lovely pool we could always cool down & enjoyed every second! Well done Jacana, we will be back soon!!

Most Beautiful Lodge that I have ever seen.
went to Jacana lodge early September, and what an experience. No photos or reviews could truly describe the beauty and the atmosphere of this place.
From the amazing view of the crocodile river where all manor of animals large and small come to drink water from the river, to the luxurious bedrooms and entertainment areas. I never wanted to leave the upstairs patio where I could drink cocktails and watch the sun go down over the river.
During my visit I went on a game drive and it was defiantly the best one I have ever been on. The custom-made game viewer was so comfortable it just made the trip so enjoyable. On our game drive we saw a large number of animals from giraffe to rhino. But my personal favorite was the African Elephant, we saw baby elephants running towards their mother as they realized that she had already walked a distance away from them.
