Toys for children, slide, swing, playground, swimming pool, hammock, baby cot and highchair. A short trekking distance away, along the coast there is Vendicari natural oasis where bathing is allowed. Long stay discounted rate. Eco home, Ecotourism, eco-friendly house: heating and cooling with heat pump, storm windows, double glazing, 100% utilization of energy saving lamps, photovoltaic panels produce more than 100% of the energy absorbed by consumption, waste recycling, composter, burning of pruning of our trees as fuel for stove, During your stay you can harvest for free: bio lemons (all year around), oranges, grapes, pomegranate, grapefruit, white mulberry, kaki, plums, apricots. Some tropical fruit: bananas, feijoa, guava, white sapote, mango, avocado, macadamia, water berries. Vegetable: tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, lettuce, zucchini and more. A millenary olive tree grows in the garden, look for it in the photos. We have a small bio production of honey, extra virgin olive oil and “Nero D’Avola” wine. Means of access Airplane + car from Catania airport: follow the highway for Siracusa, Avola and Noto, take the exit "Noto", continue for Lido di Noto. We are 80 km away from Catania, free highway, 45 minutes away. Airplane + car from Comiso airport: We are 80 km away from Comiso. By helicopter: an occasional helipad is available on the property for guests who request it. Also usable for excursions and helicopter tours. (Rev. 16.10.2022)

Lovely stay with animal and with fruity garden
In July we stayed for 2 weeks at Casale della Pergola. It is lovely place with a large garden filled with lemon trees, other fruit trees and a lovely vegetable patch. Gioacchino made sure everything was ready for us, including things for our toddler and there was someone there every day tending to the garden, so there is someone around in case you needed help with anything. Gioacchino’s communication was good before and while we were there. The house is small but reasonably well fitted out with everything in working order. There is air con in the main lounge which cools the house down when it’s hot outside. The shutters also keep put the sun and make it dark for sleeping well. The boys loved the routine of checking the chicken enclosure for eggs, which you can buy, looking at the bees busy at their hive and going to see the sweet donkey Nerina. Gioacchino kindly gave us some honey and wine so we could sample them. Just a couple of things we had to be careful of-firstly there is an electric fence around the donkey so that she doesn’t escape and secondly, because of the hive (which I must say produces the most heavenly marmalade-like honey) there are bees literally everywhere. There are also a lot of mosquitoes, so bring insect repellant. The pool is small but great particularly for children and cooling off. The closest little food shop is a 5 minute walk away, with the sea and beach restaurants a 10 minute walk. The beach is sandy and the sea is beautiful, with a gradual drop which is perfect for little ones. It does get insanely busy at the weekend but there are lots of other beaches and towns to go and see. We found it an ideal location to visit towns such as Noto, Modica, Syracusa, Ragusa and Marzamemi. There are so many beautiful places with delicious food! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back again!

Perfect stay
This was the second time we visited the Casale della Pergola. Again, beautiful and relaxing. The owner is absolutely friendly and helpful in all kinds of questions. We love to come back!

Entspannung pur
Wir haben im Juli 2016 hier zwei wunderschöne Wochen mit unseren beiden Kindern verbracht. Es passte einfach alles: der Garten ist wirklich einmalig schön -wir haben bis zum letzten Tag noch neue Ecken auf dem riesigen Grundstück entdeckt. Für die Kinder gibt es einen kleinen Pool und Spielgeräte im Garten. Der Esel und die Hühner sind für die Kinder auch toll gewesen. Das Haus liegt ruhig am Ende der Straße, trotzdem sind Strand und kleinere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bars und Restaurants fußläufig zu erreichen. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war ausgesprochen nett, unsere Kinder durften mit ihm den Honig aus den Bienenwaben im Garten zapfen. Wer einen entspannten und unaufgeregten Urlaub möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Perfect
We had a lovely stay at Casale Pergola. Perfect size for us (2 adults and kids aged 7and 4). Had nearly everything we needed (could have done with plastic chopping board for meat). Giovanni was really helpful and the kids loved the bees and the donkey and the play area. Perfectly located as well - we particularly liked the beach st San Lorenzo (about 20min) - and the supermarket was close as well. Would definitely recommend as long as you have plenty of mosquito repellent if you're visiting in the wet season like us (same everywhere rural in Sicily).

Eine tolle Zeit in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre
Die Unterkunft ist super, vor allem der wunderschöne Garten und die große Terrasse laden zum Entspannen ein. Die hauseigenen Hühner sorgen für das Frühstücksei, die Bienen für den Honig, der Rest kann im 200m entferntem Supermarkt eingekauft werden. Zum Sandstrand an der Promenade sind es auch nur ca. 400m. Wir waren für 9 Übernachtungen da und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und jederzeit erreichbar, sollte es an irgendwas fehlen.

Definitely need to get back
Really peaceful and pleasant stay among lemon and orange trees with house animals in the big garden and fresh chicken eggs for breakfast. We spent a wonderful week at the New Year in Casa Pergola. Villa is situated near the see with just 10 min distance by walk. Gioacchino is very hospitable and open host. Thank you, Gioacchino!) We’re really hope to come back)

Eine perfekte Woche im Grünen
Die "Casale delle Pergola" war für uns 4 der Höhepunkt und Abschluß unserer Silzilienreise. Absolut ruhig, große Terasse, sicherer Abstellplatz für unserer Fahrzeug, Grillplatz, 2 Schlafzimmer, große Küche. Außerdem täglich frische Eier von "unseren" Hühnern, jede Menge frisches Gemüse aus dem großen Garten zum Selbsternten, 2 süße Esel sowie 1 Pferd im Garten. Gioachino - der Eigentümer - sorgte sich liebevoll auch um kleinste Details, war jederzeit per Handy erreichbar. Automatische nächtliche Bewässerungen sorgen dafür, daß der ausgedehnte Zitronenhain am Haus auch im heißen sizilianischen Sommer eine grüne Oase bleibt. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche, vor allem auch unsere beiden Teenager-Mädels. Gioachino, wir kommen wieder!

Petit paradis
Petite maison très agréable, notre fille de deux ans a adoré la présence des poules, anes chevals et chats dans l'immense jardin , de plus un jardin bio est a votre disposition si vous voulez prendre quelques légumes. Le propriétaire est tres serviable et tiens tres bien ce lieu. L'immense jardin est a partager avec une autre maison qui appartient a Mr trapani mais cela ne nous a pas gené, car la maison est assez loin et a sa propre entrée. La maison est a environ 15/20 minutes en voiture de Noto ( tres belle ville). Vous pouvez aller a la plage a pied, environ 7 minutes. un petit magasin qui vend nourriture et autres se trouve meme pas 5 mns a pied de la maison

a little piece of heaven!
A wonderful, peaceful place, perfect to relax and enjoy the Sicilian sun and hospitality. Gioacchino is a great host, very attentive to all details and very helpful in any way! Our kids loved the animals on the property. Picking fresh fruits and eggs every day just made this place a little piece of heaven! The house is in a very quite location, within walking distance to the lovely beach of Noto, restaurants and shops are also no further than a 5 minutes walk. The house is very well equipped (washing machine, children toys, etc.) All in all, a fantastic holiday! We truly hope to come back soon!!
