The Definition of Indian Hospitality
Naveen and Kamala define what Indian hospitality is all about. They are great hosts. The weather was around 3 degrees. I explained over phone that we were not used to that temperature. Naveen offered to provide heaters. When I was there I realized that he had pulled out the heater he had for his small daughters and given it to us. The food was delicious and as hosts they ate with us. We celebrated their daughter's birthday. The warmth that this family showed to their guests was really out of the world. If you are looking to enjoy life in its purest sense, or want to experience Indian hospitality, then you should stay at this homestay. Wonderful people - even more wonderful nature around them. One warning though - this homestay is in the jungle. It is not a commercial place. Don't expect 5 star amenities. Go there to experience a better than 5 star service.

Relax and take it all in
Naveen and Kamla are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us into their home and surpassed expectations. The relaxing sound of the river, tasty meals and good company made it difficult to leave. After taking a Jeep Safari in Jim Corbett National Park and returning to Kyari Homestay, I am convinced that the forest surrounding Kyari is more pristine. Naveen's vast knowledge of the local flora and fauna is only matched by Kamla's attention to detail and thoughfulness. Kamla adapted meals to accomidate my food allergies and taught me a local recipe using vegetables from their farm! It's not a question of if I will return to their homestay, it's a question of when.

You will feel here just as at home, any of your needs will be taken care of with a big smile! Very nice and comfortable rooms, amazing and delicious food! You will be surrounded by nature, various birds and close by river. Excellent homestay!
The village homestay is one of the best homestays I have stayed at. Been here three times already, and sure to return! The homestay location is close to the river which makes the sound of the river a delight to the ears. Naveen and his family are very very warm, friendly and perfect hosts who make you feel like you are part of the family. There is so much to learn through conversations with them, and being part of the daily life here in the village. The energy of the home and its surroundings is very inviting and comforting. Highly recommended homestay!

The Only Way to See Jim Corbett!!
If you're looking for something non-touristy, authentic and off the beaten track; if you love wildlife, jungle walks and fresh, home cooked food then this is for you! My friend and I had a wonderful time staying with Naveen and Kamla - they are so accommodating and made us feel welcome and comfortable the whole time. Originally we had been staying at the Hornbill Tree Machan just up the road with their friend and when we decided we wanted to extend our stay Naveen kindly offered us a room in his home without prior booking. Naveen is a great host, he took us on quite a few guided walks around the (gorgeous) area, and when he was busy with other affairs at camp hornbill he was always able to either provide us with a different guide or point us in the right direction for unguided walks. He was also kind enough to help arrange train tickets last minute for me and my friend. Naveen's home is very comfortable. The rooms and bathroom are clean, cool and spacious, there are some books about the local area to read, some day beds and a hammock out in the mango garden, and two friendly dogs (friendly to people, not to each other). Laxsita, Naveen's 4 year old daughter also kept us company and kept us entertained with lots of singing, dancing and monkeying around. At mealtimes we were absolutely spoiled rotten with Kamla's amazing cooking. She worked so hard to make sure we were all fed properly and we were stuffed to the brim without fail - breakfast, lunch and dinner. My only regret is that I didn't make time to learn some cooking from her! The surrounding area is great for wildlife, and while we didn't see any there was big cat movement around the village just about every night, as well as an elephant one night. It's a bird watcher's paradise - we saw several new species every day we were there. The river is also lovely to swim in. All in all, a wonderful home stay. We couldn't have asked for a better time. Thanks so much Naveen, Kamla and Laxsita!

Wonderful experience! Inbetween raw nature and lovely village people
I had a wonderful stay there! I planned to stay 4 days, ended up staying 11! The House and the facilities are very nice, but the nicest thing was the host family: Naveen is a really cool guy, how spends time with you, makes trecks into the jungle and is always up for a cup of tea. His wife is so friendly and cooks the best food on this planet!!! (It´s true) And their 4 year old daughter is also gorgous! Mix all this with a very nice enviroment and you have the perfect place to spend a couple of days!
