Condo/Apartment
These modern apartments are a cut above the relatively simple accommodation normally available in Paleohora. At first and second floor level and situated on the corner of the town's small harbour, they are literally just a stone's throw from the picturesque promenade, lined with cafes and tavernas that run along the seafront to the pebbly beach. An attractive feature of the property is the large communal terrace at the front which overlooks the harbour with really magnificent views of the sea and Crete's White Mountains which are snow capped until June and stunningly beautiful. This terrace is the perfect spot to sunbathe or watch the world go by below and there's also a covered area where you can relax in the shade with a good book and a long cold drink. Just a few steps from the nearest taverna and with a choice of sandy or pebbly beaches a tad over 5 minutes walk away, there's definitely no better or more convenient address in town. Paleohora Harbour Apartment 3 - Sleeps 2/4 At first floor level, some 14 steps from the harbour side lead up to a spacious open quadrangle facing the sea, with entrance doors to the three apartments and three of the studios. Apartment A3 has a bright and airy open plan living area with a pine dining table and chairs, plus two sofa beds; measuring approximately 60cm wide, they are more suitable for children or small teenagers. In one corner is a kitchenette with small fridge, 2 ring electric hob, plus a small separate oven. A staircase with an attractive wrought iron balustrade leads to the first floor level where there is a shower room and a bedroom with double bed, a fitted wardrobe and dresser with mirror. Sliding patio doors from the bedroom open onto a private terrace overlooking the harbour and enjoying superb sea and mountain views. This is a small number of apartments and studios right on the sea-front overlooking the harbour/ferry jetty. We had an apartment on two floors: downstairs a sitting/dining room with kitchen facilities (small cooker, electric hob, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, crockery, cutlery, utensils etc), Then...More

The apartment is simply stunning, beautifully kept and with the most amazing views. Waking up with the sun streaming onto the balcony or enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the moonlight on the ocean, it couldn't be more perfect. The apartments are ideally placed to...More

About the neighbourhood
Beguilingly known as the jewel of the Libyan Sea this laid back village of Paleohora stands on a promontory fringed on one side by a long sandy beach, whilst on the other side a pretty little harbour borders a pebble beach that stretches off into 'the wild blue yonder'. This is just about as far west and far south as you can go in Crete and when the last bus leaves Paleohora in the evening on its way back over the mountains to Chania, the village tavernas come alive spreading their tables and chairs even further into the narrow main street, which becomes a very atmospheric place to wine and dine, although there are numerous other tavernas to choose from in the back streets or down by the romantic harbour and promenade .
