Tasting the local products directly from the producers: the oil at the Motina Oil Mill, Chianti wine directly from our friends' cellar in San Fabiano, the fossa (sealed up in a pit) cheese made by a group of young farmers living in the neighbouring farmhouse. Spending the evening in the local country inns where skilled women cooks still prepare the same typical dishes of the past shrouded in the scent of wood. Being together The small hamlet of La Scheggia is the best place where groups of friends can gather and spend their holidays together, celebrate special occasions or arrange small business meetings in full privacy. Each guest can be lodged in one of the apartments or in one of the houses of the farmhouse. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 051001CAV0004More

About the neighbourhood
Arezzo: lies on a hill close to the Appennino Tosco-Romagnolo. As its architecture proves, Arezzo boasts its ancient origin first as one of the greatest Etruscan towns and then a strategic Roman city. The upper part keeps a remarkable medieval aspect with the Cathedral and the Medici Fortress. The rather Gothic Cathedral contains fine works of art among which Saint Mary Magdalene by Piero della Francesca and the stained-glass windows by Guillame de Marcillat. The central Piazza Grande shows different styles of architecture: next to the medieval towers are the imposing Renaissance Loggiato Vasariano, the Palazzo delle Fraternita dei Laici, a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, and the apse of the Pieve di Santa Maria. It hosts annually the Giostra del Saracino , a tournament hel...
How to get there
The farmhouse is only 25 km from the Arezzo exit of Motorway A1 (also known as the Sun Motorway). By leaving the motorway at this exit you pass under the underpass of the ring road and then you turn left in the direction of Bibbiena. You drive along the small local road SS 71 up to Borgo Giovi / La Chiassa. Turn in the direction of Anghiari and drive along the local road of Libbia up to La Scheggia Pass; once you reach the top, turn right and drive for about 350 meters. A signpost on your left indicates La Scheggia farmhouse. For those who leave the E45 after the exit Sansepolcro, drive in direction of Anghiari and drive along the local road of La Libbia up to La Scheggia Pass; once you have reached the top turn left.
