About the neighbourhood
The house is 4 miles from the beautiful medieval hilltop town of Anghiari and 9 miles from the fine Renaissance town of Sansepolcro (birthplace of Piero della Francesca - his 'Resurrection' is in the museum). Meaccino is approached on a road through a valley. The final track to the house has a gravel surface.

At Anghiari are shops (including an excellent small supermarket) and small playground. A wider range of facilities including two large supermarkets, hairdressers, antique shops etc are to be found at Sansepolcro, as well as a very pleasant municipal outdoor swimming-pool with picnic area under tall trees, much used by local families in the summer months. Both Anghiari and Sansepolcro have weekly open-air markets. There are many excellent restaurants in Anghiari and Sansepolc...
