Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 3
Broadstairs, Isle of Thanet, Kent, England
A pet free and non smoking property, Dickens Walk Cottage is ideally and centrally situated for a short break: 15 metres from the front door to the promenade overlooking Viking Bay's 150m long sandy beach and Chiappini's café (our favourite place to sit with a tea and look out to sea) and less than a 2 minute walk to shops, post box, cinema, restaurants and the best fish and chips in Broadstairs.

Many of our guests are repeat customers. The cottage is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic getaway or for small families wanting to relax on the coast. We have bookings all year round, there is always something fun to do here whatever the weather.

The property has a large wall mounted TV with Sky box (features internet tv with amongst other things: Iplayer, Itv player, Amazon Prime, Netflix (with your own Netflix account). We al...

Short Break Special Offers:
When we go away for the weekend, we hate the stress of having to get up and vacate the room by 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning. We think it is much nicer to get up leisurely, listen to some music or watch tv, read the papers and drink endless cups of coffee? We offer weekend breaks that encourage you to stay at anytime on Sunday, leaving you to spend the day exactly how you want to. Our 3 night weekday breaks offer the same flexibility: arriving anytime after 4pm on Monday, you can use all the Cottage facilities until 4pm on Thursday.

About the neighbourhood
During the 19th century, Broadstairs was a grand seaside town, with Charles Dickens a frequent visitor. Today, with a population of 24,000, it remains a picturesque place to get away from it all. In 2007 and 2008, the Guardian newspaper voted Broadstairs runner-up 'best seaside town in Britain'. In summer, the bandstand has a full programme of entertainment and the folk festival in August brings live music and activities for all throughout the town.

Beaches. Surrounded by seven bays, the closest, Viking Bay, is lined with 150 metres of golden sand and in summer has lifeguards, donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows and trampolines to keep the kids happy. Nearby Joss Bay is a surfing beach with lifeguards. Equipment is available for rent (www.jossbay.co.uk).
