Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Crediton, Devon, England
The Stable is a converted stable, now a comfortable cottage dating back to the 15th century. Part of a set of converted farm buildings set in peaceful and tranquil mid Devon.

Children big and small will love playing in the garden and around our smallholding with sheep, chickens, ducks, pigs and other animals.

The Stable has far reaching views to Dartmoor and across the beautiful rolling Devon countryside.

The Stable is open plan with a fitted kitchen and cosy woodburner as well as underfloor heating. There are 2 bedrooms, a double room and a smaller twin room, both with their own vanity units. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over it.
The cottage has its own patio and shares the walled and secure garden with our other cottage, the Roundhouse. The cottage is warm and cosy with underfloor heating and a woodburner with f...

About the neighbourhood
We are right in the middle of beautiful Devon with lush green rolling hill all around. It is about 45 minutes drive to either Exmoor or Dartmoor, and the North and South coasts. You can surf, hike, eat cream teas and relax.
Getting around
A car is more or less essential as we are rural and the buses are infrequent. The Tarka line train from Exeter to Barnstaple stops about 3 miles away at Morchard Road and is a lovely day trip in either direction - watch out for dragons!

How to get there
Airport: Exeter: 40.0 km
Railway: Morchard Road: 4.0 km
Ferry: Plymouth: 70.0 km
It is advisable to avoid Exeter, so if you are traveling via the A303 we would suggest that you take the A358 at Ilminster which will take you onto the M5, near Taunton.

At junction 27 of the M5 motorway pick up the A361 towards TIVERTON.

At the FIRST ROUNDABOUT turn left, over the mini-roundabout and pass the Petroc college on your right.

At the next roundabout turn right, pass straight over the roundabout past Morrisons and the river Exe and then turn right at the mini-roundabout towards Witheridge. Almost immediately turn left onto the B3137 (signposted for WITHERIDGE)

Travel for almost 6 miles; pass through a wood and soon after the brow of the hill fork left (signpost says “PEAK”) into a lane marked PUDDINGTON and BLACK DOG.

Through the small villages of PUDDINGTON and BLACK DO...
