Ground floor - fully equipped kitchen and large oven with elegant outdoor wooden gazebo with tables and chairs, sun loungers and barbecue - large internal dining room - ideal cellar for aging fine wines and for maturing cold cuts and cheeses - 1 service bathroom - another room with washing machine, appliances and hygiene products - large room with wonderful marble fireplace - huge and wonderful outdoor veranda facing the wonderful park with centuries-old plants - also on the ground floor there is the spectacular church of 200 sqm with 3 altars and wonderful frescoes.
First floor - the first floor is accessed by an original internal oak staircase and we find a large living room with Chesterfield sofas and a wonderful white marble fireplace, 3 very large double bedrooms and a very large bedroom with 1 single bed, as well as 2 large bathrooms with shower. The double beds are all extra large with super comfort mattresses. All bedrooms have fans.
The floor on the ground floor is in handmade Tuscan terracotta and the floor on the first floor is in natural oak.
The Villa has drinking water from the Fiora.
The sunset is in front of the house and the position from the tourist point of view is extraordinary and the panorama sweeps over the Crete Senesi, the Val d'Orcia and the town of Montalcino. Private swimming pool 5X5 m in masonry with natural stone cladding and salt water system + solar shower.
The Villa also has 2 hectares of park with marvelous centuries-old cypresses and oaks.
The private pool is for the exclusive use of guests.

We booked this house to celebrate my parents 40 years anniversary, with four families. 6 weeks before the arrival the host send me a mail that the house was sold to americans, an offer they couldn’t refuse. We had to find a new place, similar, for a similar price. Of course that was impossible. So for me it’s very painful to find out that this was all a big lie, the house is still available! So be aware if you book this house, the owner will cancel if he gets a better offer, ruin vacation plans of four families.

Dear Effie, as communicated several times in your e-mail, both through your tour operator, the Villa of Tenuta Il Patriarca has been sold and can no longer be booked. Our communication took place 2 months before his arrival (therefore well in advance), we also proposed another alternative, a beautiful luxury Villa (at a lower price) in Siena and only 20 minutes from Tenuta Il Patriarca.
Having said that, we can say to ourselves that we are happy to not have hosted you and your family, because we are used to welcoming kind and polite customers and not customers like you who come only to create problems and hassles. I inform you that many customers have canceled reservations with 7 days notice before check-in, because they probably have had personal problems and we have understood. We didn't start crying like you did and we didn't write useless reviews like yours.

Terrific, modernised villa in a stunning setting. Friendly owner
We visited Tenuta Il Patriarca in a group of 12, over three families, and it's layout suited us perfectly. It has three distinct areas of accommodation so individuals can have their own space - although we spent all our waking time in the ENORMOUS communal living area downstairs as well as outside in the lovely pool.
It is very remote (approx. 3km off the road, down gravel tracks), but that is part of it's charm. Kids can make as much noise as they like (or you can bear) without fear of disturbing anyone, and the 270-degree distant views are stunning. It was very hot when we visited, so an air-con option would have been nice, but overall there was little to complain about. The quality of accommodation is extremely good - with modern, high-quality kitchen and bathrooms nicely complementing a refurbishment which is sympathetic to the original architecture of the building.
It is owned and run by nice, friendly people - our thanks to Gianluca and Jenny with whom we had contact.

Absolutely Magnificent........!
Tucked away in the southern region of Tuscany just a short drive South of Montalcino, this beautifully appointed Tuscan Villa was perfect for our party of 3 families of 4. The Upper apartments offer privacy to families who desire it and the lower apartment complete with the cummunal living space is spectacular. This space is huge and even when all 12 of us used the lower space it was never overcrowded, leave plenty of room for young and old to do there things separately. But why would you? we spent all week outside basking in the gloriously quiet and private outside space. The pool was occupied by our children almost constantly which made their week. The views are among the best I've seen from the villa, which was made that little bit better knowing they were almost entirely exclusively ours alone. As we had children we relied heavily on the Kitchen which is new, very clean and well equipped so had no complaints there either. Of course we like wine thats why we choose Tuscany and visits to Banfi and local villages helped the adults fore fill there need for grown up activities as well. We never really had reason to contact the owners during our stay but the booking was well managed without issue and if I needed the anything sorting I felt confident it would have been managed swiftly. This was our first group holiday and no-one could have been more pleased with this place....... would definitely return.......Absolutely Magnificent........!
