Home from home in the country.
3 generations of us spent a wonderful week here. We could cycle safely from the house or play in the games barn if we preferred. The National Trust gained some new members for our visits to nearby attractions. Accommodation was ideal and having the internet available was a bonus. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. A second booking has been made already.

Smelly downstairs sitting room
The location is beautiful, the cottage itself is very tired and certainly not 4 star as advertised. We could've survived the week, but the smell from the soiled carpet downstairs was so unbearable that we had to leave half way through the holiday. I think total carpet change would fix the problem, but it still wouldn't make it a 4 star property.

Lovely location
I spoke first to the lovely owner on the telephone before my stay and she was very helpful with local information as well as explaining her procedures for arrival. On the day before we decided as it was Bank Holiday weekend we would travel through the night on the Friday so I called to ask how early we could arrive and since the previous guests had left and she had cleaned already she kindly said we could arrive when we wished. We did indeed arrive on her doorstep at around 8am on the Saturday morning where we had a lovely greeting from the owner who showed us around and made us very welcome. The farmhouse itself was perfectly rural and a wonderful old building with lots of character. The shower in the main bathroom was epic! Water pressure was great (sometimes lets showers down, but not in this house!) and 2 other en suite bathrooms were available too. Lots of garden and play area for the children and the kids adored the owners sheep dogs who loved to be petted and play. The location was perfect, so quiet and peaceful. The only thing that let it down in any way was the WiFi. It dropped out constantly and there is not much in the way of mobile data, vodafone gives GPRS and O2 gives nothing, hubby uses EE and managed to pick up on occasion H+, but rarely. Otherwise just perfect and would book again. Loads to do in the area too. If you like photography then its the perfect spot, I photographed the milkyway from the front drive as skies are so dark. Just down the road is a lovely nature reserve where I got amazing photos of a kingfisher and lapwings. Powis Castle is on the doorstep and loads of other amazing nature places all within 45 minutes to an hour of the farm.
