This was a return visit for us. I can't recommend Awelon enough. The location is fantastic, 2 pubs and a good restaurant within a 2 minute walk and long beach walks a short drive away. The house is really well appointed with comfortable beds, a lovely log burner and a cosy lounge. We'll definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Awalon. The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and has plenty of living space and comfortable beds. Its position, in the central square of Tremadog, suited us very well as a centre for exploring the area and it was so convenient to have a choice of restaurants and a chip shop only metres away. One thing to be aware of is the low, beamed ceilings in both top floor bedrooms. Tricky for the second occupant to get in and out of the beds.

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful house in a beautiful village. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. Village has a great pub, restaurant and fish and chip shop. Hot tub was a bonus. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Scattered family gathered here for late Christmas. Great family space for dining and opening presents and playing games, all in front of log burner. Great pubs very close and excellent kite surfing at Black Rock beach. A wonderful weekend

This stunning accommodation is spacious yet homely. It is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need including a log burner which we made full use of. The location is perfect, set in a lovely village square with two local pubs, a village shop, fish & chip shop and a fabulous restaurant which came highly recommended and did not disappoint! There is so much to do locally including Snowdonia, Port Merion, Zip World and Port Madoch which is just a short walk away. I will definitely be booking again and will be recommending to friends and family. Fabulous!

House in a lovely village with all you need, nice pubs, the GoldenFleece served lovely food. We climbed Mount Snowden which was a great achievement with boys aged 5 to 13 and a couple of of 72 year olds. Would love to return soon and would definitely book house again.

Location is great on edge of Snowdonia but with access to important features like a couple of pubs - a godsend to a group of guys who didn't want to cook every day. Facilities were fine with everything you might need in the house. There were a couple of minor issues such as a washer needed replacing in the kitchen tap and one light stopped working but nothing to spoil the enjoyment.

Highly recommend Awelon Cottage. This is our second time staying here, with a group of friends for a birthday. Ideal location in village square with 2 pubs, a restaurant (highly recommend) and a Spar. Just 15 minute walk into the main town of Porthmadog filled with cafes, restaurants and home/craft type shops. Diana, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful when we were planning our visit; she recomended places to eat and walks to go on - the cosatal walk from Borth-y-Gest was a particular highlight. Ideally located for exploring this stunning peninsula, with the convenience of having a shop and a few places to eat literally a minutes walk from the house. Parking space outside the house was also very convenient.

2 families stayed which included 4 adults and 5 children between 11 and 13. Cottage was spacious and had everything we needed...well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and great utility room with washer/dryer. Courtyard garden sweet and private. Dinning room light and airy and we enjoyed lovely breakfasts and evening meals altogether here. We didn't have small children but there were 2 high chairs and stairgates available. There were plenty of games and lots of DVDs which kept the kids ebtertained! We all commented how comfy the beds were and linen and towels wonderfully clean. The only negative comments we had were on entering the cottage we all noticed the stairs had fluff balls in the corners of every step and furnishing were also dusty. The place is looking a little tired decoratively speaking, however woyld still recommend and thought it was still goid value. Great location for Black Rocks Sands, Snowdon etc and we didn't have to travel long to reach any of the sights. The village was lovely with mountains to explore virtually in the back garden! The Golden Fleece in the Market Square does lovely food and service always amazing. They also accommodated our lactose free child brilliantly offering to cook anything he wanted. Would high recommend a visit.
