We booked our holiday with Zenith Vacances - for this and the adjacent property (also through Zenith). We were a party of 18, and paid ~£8,000 for the holiday let (including a £600 cleaning fee). The grounds and facilities were absolutely amazing. However, there were SEVERAL major problems.
Firstly, there was a huge Alsatian dog (belonging to a neighbour) which was allowed to roam around the property - entering the kitchen on a daily basis. This scared the children we had onsite and also made it very difficult to prepare food as the dog often barged in during meal prep and stuck its face in the food on the table, trying to eat it. We then had to chase the dog out of the kitchen and living room areas, which was really difficult as it was the size of a table and we had no idea if it would turn aggressive. The owner of the dog (neighbour) also seemed to have free reign of the property and we often found her walking around the grounds. Which was weird as we were not aware of her or introduced to her at any stage.
Secondly, we were told that there are two sink holes on the property that are delicate and we were reprimanded for parking our cars near said sink holes and for moving a plant pot, as it may create a dangerous situation. This would have been ok, if we had been told about the sink holes upon arrival. We were told off very harshly one morning, about sink holes that we knew nothing about.
Thirdly, the lady in charge visited the property twice a day. To oversee the holiday makers, check the pool and close/open the games room. The games room was supposed to be open 9AM-9PM, but often remained locked throughout the day so we could not use it. And the pool was not cleaned during the first week. It was pretty disgusting by the 6th day. Fortunately, after this - it was cleaned routinely for our final week.
Lastly, we were told that the blankets provided are not cleaned between guest stays. One blanket was taken outside to lay on the grass, and the lady owner screamed at one of the children in our party (5 years old), and told us that we could not make them dirty as the next guests will use them as is. For our £600 cleaning fee - we had dirty blankets, under the beds were filthy and we had a stinking dog in the kitchen every day!
Very very disappointed with the owner's attitude and her complete disregard of the guests. All of this for £8,000.
