It is situated 10 km, nearly 10 minutes of driving from Supetar, main town of the island of Brac. By using comfortable and air-conditioned ferry from Split it will take you approximately 45 minutes to get to the island Brac. Connection to the mainland by ferry lines to Split as well as by boat lines is frequently. Majority of 1500 inhabitants of Postira is still in one's thirties or younger. Besides the tourism and agriculture the traditional fishing and maritime affairs are part of tradition of its inhabitants. On the beach is very good restaurant with great gastronomic offers of fish, traditional specialties and well-known high quality wines of Brac. There are also beach volleyball fields. On the south side of the Island Brac is Bol, well-known place to every windsurfer and yachtsman. Swimmers can enjoy on its beautiful beach ''Zlatni Rat''. It will take you only 45 minute of driving to get there.. The nearest beach is Mola Lozna, peabble beach with showers and caffe bar. From this beach starts old off road, with sea, trough pine forrest. This road is almost empty with 1 car/hour in the peak of season. Trougt this road you can find a lot of wild beaches. About the neighbourhood
Postira was first mentioned in the 14th century. Postira is a little Mediterranean town located on the northern side of the island Brac, 8 kilometers from Supetar. Coming out from the clear blue of the Adriatic, Postira climbs up the hill to embrace the centuries old olive fields and pine forests that partly replaced dead vine and also it comes into the fertile valley of vine yards and tangerine to the south. Postira stretches their roots deep into the past, which testify three early Christian localities and among them the most famous are the remains of a basilica in Lovrecina, a bay with a source and a very beautiful sandy beach.
Postira is beautiful in every season! The village is decorated even in January with the almond-bloom.
This oasis of peace and silence is an unavoidable stop for many tourists. There are many beaches around;
Molo Lozna This pebble beach is on the east end of Postira and has many facilities, There is a possibility to rent beach chairs and sun umbrellas. The beach also has a coffee bar, and you can rent scooters, pedal boats, kayaks, trampoline.

Generally, if you travel by car, bus or train, you need to reach Split or Makarska in central Dalmatia, where you can take a ferry to Brac or catamaran to Brac (from Split). Ferries Split - Supetar (Brac), and Makarska - Sumartin take cars.
If you go by plane, the closest local and international airports are Split and Dubrovnik airport, and then you need to take a local bus, rent a car, or take a taxi to Brac. There is also airport on island Brac. From there you can reach your destination by bus or taxi.
