This place is extremely quiet and nice. We were left alone, which we like, but almost too much. We weren't greeted when we arrived. There was a note on the door with instructions which were poor - meaning they didn't tell us about the lodge...More

We spent 3 nights here, and it was the perfect comfort for our Flagstaff vacation. Hospitable service, cozy, clean, and good amenities! Also, the food is fantastic!

Interaction with guests
We believe in giving you privacy. Both of us have other businesses to attend to during the week and if you check in late and leave early you might never even see us. We do live in a separate apartment in the same building if you need us for any reason but will not intrude on your space or time unless asked to do so. On weekends our dining room is open to the public as well as our guests, for breakfast and lunch. Our full menu is available on our website. there is a private deck on the south end of the property for B&B guests only. You can choose how much interaction you would like to have with us and other guests.

About the neighbourhood
The Lodge is located in the rural community of Mountainaire. It's 10 minutes to Flagstaff but feels like its miles away. Mountainaire is surrounded by National Forest and our property shares a boundary with the forest. Woods walks, mountain biking and hiking can be done right from the yard. We're frequented by elk who practically live in the front meadow and actually live in the woods just behind us, lots of song birds, a few hawks, an occasional Great Blue Heron, plenty of squirrels, rabbits, and other small animals. The road in and out of Mountainaire gets little traffic because it dead ends in the community so for the most part is used by locals only. The Lodge has a publically open café and wine bar that is primarily open weekends.
How to get there
By car the Lodge is a little less than 2 hours north of Phoenix via I-17. Flagstaff's Pulliam airport is just 2 miles/5 minutes north of the Lodge on the Interstate. When coming from the East or West via I-40 the Lodge is just 10 minutes south from the I-17/I-40 interchange and the south side of Flagstaff. From the Grand Canyon the Lodge is accessed through Flagstaff south on I-17. From Sedona the Lodge can be reached via I-17 north or via 89A to I-17 south for 2 miles, as from the Pulliam Airport.
