Due to the corona virus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and we're following the cleaning procedures of the CDC. New this year due to COVID-19: A sheet set on each bed (top sheet, bottom sheet) 2 pillows and 1 blanket are provided, however we've removed the decorative comforter, pillow shams and additional blanket from each bedroom. A large stone fireplace provides warmth for cozy and/or romantic evenings and a fire pit out back is perfect for roasting hot dogs, making s'mores, or just relaxing after days end to share stories and good times... and, when not hiking, kayaking, or relaxing be sure to enjoy a game of corn hole on the custom made corn hole boards!! Most of all, come have fun and enjoy the adventures that await you at Vista Grande!! IMPORTANT: although 'internet access' is checked off as a 'feature', WiFi is NOT provided... you can however access the internet via your cell service or a hot spot. **We've been told Verizon has very limited service on the weekends (weekdays seem fine, weekends not so much). There is a charcoal grill available for grilling, however charcoal is not provided at Vista Grande and firewood for the fire pit can be found locally for $10 a bundle. . More

Great get away!!

My family enjoyed staying at the Vista Grande! The house was clean, view was inspirational!! Becky and David were very friendly and accomodating. It was a lovely Thanksgiving get away! We would visit again and recommend to others!

Cabin in the woods

We had a great stay at Vista Grande! Beautiful views, good location and comfortable accommodation. We went to see the nearby Luray caverns and relaxed in the quiet the rest of the time. Highly recommend!

Outstanding!

I can recommend these accommodation without any reservation. Both the facilities and the location were wonderful for me and my family with kids. The hospitality was great as Dave and Becky are star hosts.

Amazing

I took my family on vacation at the Vista Grande cabin. Our experience was absolutely incredible. The cabin was perfect, clean and very cozy. We enjoyed the fireplace, playing board games and cooking on the grill.. not to mention the amazing views from every window...More

About the neighbourhood
beautiful mountain area, walking distance to Shenandoah River Outfitters for canoe, kayak, tube river fun grocery stores are 20 minutes away so we recommend bringing your groceries with you at check in for groups larger than 6, another one of our cabins, Acorn Hill, is nearby... cabins are separated by a wooded lot with a walking path between them, close enough to walk between yet separate enough to enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay at both locations.
Getting around
we are located in a more rural, beautiful mountain area so a car is necessary for getting around to see the sites (ie: Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, hiking trails, etc)..... no nearby bus stations, taxi or other means of transportation available
