Casa de Abuela (Grandmother's house) is the first of four historic adobes that are being completely restored 2 blocks from Old Town and only 1 block away from Albuquerque's Art, History, Natural History and Explora Museums. It is across the street from the large Tricentennial Park which at the time the adobes were built were the agricultural fields for old Albuquerque. This 1880s adobe, part of the Cervates Subdivision, features an all new kitchen and bathroom. It is furnished with a blend of antiques and collectibles that compliment the Victorian era in which this house was built. The rooms reflect the warm Hispanic tradition of living in New Mexico. and contains some objects that belonged to one of the Cervantes brothers. We found your place on line , pictures of house were eye catching. Place was above our expectations. Near a beautiful park close to many shops. Bed was comfortable. Futon not so much. All other rooms were done in older pictures and very cute pieces....More
