There is a double bedroom with storage and a large shower room with washing machine and w.c.
The living room has a bed settee and TV. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, induction hob,oven, fridge freezer, microwave,coffeemaker, and lot of kitchen ustensils. There is aircondition and Wifi internet. This spacious apartment is ideal for a couple but suits also two moore people sleeping on the bed settee.
Marseillam is probably the oldest town of France, settled by the Phoceans in the 6th cBC. You can enjoy the stressless and pittoresque atmosphere when you walk the narrow streets in the old town or stroll around the old unspoiled port. Numerous bars and restaurants are within a walking distance. Thuesday mornings there is a market where you can buy local food, dried herbs, clothes, flowers and lots of other things. Friday afternoons you can go on fleemarket but You can also find different kinds of markets in towns nearby. There are a lot of opportunities for activities as biking, sailing, boat trips on the lake or along the Canal du Midi, horseriding and water sports.

Well-behaiving and clean dogs are welcome. Please notice that the dog should not disturb the neighbours by barking or durtying the yard. There is a need for a better cleaning after visits with dog. Please tell the owner when you bring a dog.

Appartement très bien situé près du port de Marseillan village et du chemin qui suit l'étang de Thau. Petite cour fleurie ensoleillée le matin et très agréable.Idéale pour un séjour tranquille.

appartement très fonctionnel en bord d’étang acceptant les animaux
appartement parfait pour 2 personnes, en bord d’étang avec un jardinet très joliment aménagé, bien situé près du port. Seul défaut il se trouve le long d'une route très passagère en été. Une suggestion: un voilage dans la chambre serait un plus. La propriétaire est très à l'écoute du bien-être de ses locataires et accepte les animaux.

Excellent property in Lovely little Town
Very comfortable apartment with good facilities - certainly miss the shower! Easy walk into town to get the bread each morning, and to visit the many restaurants. The weather was good so we could eat our breakfasts and occasional lunch or dinner on the terrace. Owner and the local caretaker couldn't have been more helpful. Marseillan is a very pleasant town and there are so many places nearby to visit. We have been to the area many times and although it's busier and places have grown it still remains unspoiled. La Scribote was certainly one of the best rentals we have had.

Apartment inside as described but on noisy fast road
A little disappointed as the location left a lot to be desired with constant noise of traffic and although there is a view of the lake it's rather industrial.
Inside the apartment was exactly as described and we have no complaints on that score. The parking was compromised as the owners did not leave a key for the car park. The rear entrance hall light was never fixed which meant it was in total darkness on returning to the apartment.

I regret the traffic noise. Unfortunately the traffic was worse than normally during your stay because the main road in town was closed for roadworks and a large part of the traffic was directed through the road past the apartment. As the apartment is located in an urban area there is always some traffic. I will add it to the advert.
I agree that the view in the direction of the vinecooperative is industrial. As you do not see it from the sitting group on the terrace I do not pay so much attention to it. You have to get down to the gate to get that view.
I do not understand your problem with the keys. In the safetybox there was one set of 2 keys, one for the apartment and one for the gate leading to the parking and another identical set of keys inside the apartment. There was also a remote control to the gate to the main yard but you were not allowed to keep your car there, only on your own yard as it is said in the advert. This misunderstanding would have been avoided if you had contacted the housekeeper who lives close to the apartment.
I am very sorry for the nonworking light in the hall, it is fixed now.

Excellent position - close to town centre and activities. Easy links to other places. Caretaking staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Reservation, deposit efficiently dealt with. Owner very willing to answer any questions

All you need from a holiday apartment
This is very well positioned for the town bars and restaurants, the apartment had all you need for a great stay, clean and it was well equiped.
If we return to the area, we would stay at La Scribote, I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.

Well Placed
We stayed in this convenient apartment for six weeks during July and August.
The apartment is easy to find and only a short distance from the bars and restaurants near the canal leading into the étang.
There is ample parking in the garden in front of the apartment. Entry is gained via a secure key-coded gate.
There's everything you could want in the holiday let, ample cutlery and crockery, pans and utensils etc.
Air conditioning is available which is a great feature during the hotter weeks of summer.
We kayaked on the étang throughout the holiday and this place is so close to the water that it's only a 2 minute walk to the shoreline.
Wifi was good without any issues.
The owner always answered any queries we had and was most helpful. Our security deposit was returned very promptly.

About the neighbourhood
The area around the big salt-water lake, Etang du Thau, is famous for its oyster and mussel beds. The town is surrounded by wineyards and the natural reserve of Bagnas with around 250 species of wild birds and schools of rose flamingos. In the the south The Canal du Midi enters into the Etang du Thau and from the apartment you can see the lights from the Phare at the enterpoint. The Neuilly Prat destillery in the harbor of Marseillan offers an interesting visit with winetaisting. Within just 10 minutes drive you have many marvellous beaches. There are 12 km of sand and beach between Marseillan Plage and Sète and in Cap d Ágde you will find a rocky black volcanic beach.
Several towns and villages have one or two market days a week, offering delicious fruits, olives. aromatic herbs, artisanal products and clothes. The fleemarkets in the area are perfect places to find antiques and vintage, clothes and lots of other things. The fleemarket in Marseillan Plage every Saturday and Sunday is just 5 minutes drive away from the apartment.
Many coulorful village festivals take place in the summer but also on holidays through the year. The area is famous for water-jousting where 2 whitedressed men are trying to topple each other into the water from boats manned by oarsmen and musicians.
The area offers possibilities of numerous kinds of activities as bicycling, fishing, sailing and boating, watersports, horseriding and wandering in the nature .In the appartment you will find a file with suggestions of things to do and places to visit.
