Firstly I would like to say THANK YOU to our wonderful hosts! The photos just don’t do this place any justice. When we first pulled in we were greeted by the sweetest pup. It was almost like she was ushering us into our perfect weekend stay. Followed by the absolutely wonderful Chris. Such a pleasant and kind woman! She graciously showed us to our cabin and introduced us to her adorable gaggle of friends. On the property we’re all of the amazing animals. I felt like I was in an enchanted forest surrounded by the friendliest turkeys and bunnies! If you’re out doorsy, and don’t mind sharing your space with a few animal friends, then this is certainly the place for you. Inside the cabin were these gorgeous wooded vaulted ceilings, a cute kitchenette, spacious bathroom and a small seating area with table and chairs. Her decor is spot on with the feel of old timey Gettysburg. You just couldn’t help but feel at home. Once we settled in we sat on the cute screened in porch and just watched all her animals in awe. I especially enjoyed the company of the turkeys. Debbie the Turkey is a HOOT! If I could give her 10 stars, I would! This was the perfect weekend getaway that has been long over due for me and my husband. We’ll be talking about this trip for weeks, even years to come. We are already planning our next stay at Brierfield!

Great location. This was my first trip to Gettysburg.. The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center is a must see. Another highlight of the trip was Hershey Park. The animals here at Cushing cottage brought joy. The owners are a wonderful couple. The cottage was very clean!

We had such a lovely time staying at Cushing Cottage at Brierfield! It was so nice waking up to some peace and tranquility and a visit from all the animals. We especially enjoyed Izzy coming to sit with us while we had our morning coffee. Highly recommend staying here for your next Gettysburg trip.

Such an absolutely perfect spot for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Chris and Todd could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Their many extra little touches were appreciated. The friendly animals made sure we received a proper welcome, too! Hope to return. Highly recommend.
