1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
New York City, New York
Welcome to my sunny Upper West Side apartment with view on the Natural History Museum and one block away from Central Park!
The area is very cute with many great restaurants and bars in walking distance (around the block). The perfect place to spend a vacation during holiday season or a long weekend. My quaint pre-war brownstone apartment is a beauty and I have spent a lot of time making it as comfortable as possible. It is well worth the walk-up.
The king-sized bed has a luxury firm mattress which is amazingly comfortable - great for your back after long walks in the city. The apartment is kept very clean and you will have dishes to use, high speed wireless internet, and kitchen (oven, microwave, dish washer, etc. - no coffee maker but there is a Starbucks a few doors down the street). The apartment is next door to a 24h Duane Reade if...

Interaction with guests
Whatever works for you but I am a more of a hands-on type of owner and like to make sure my guests are comfortable. This is not a hotel but my home so I treat my guests as family guests rather than total strangers. :) This is my style. If this type of interaction is not for you than feel free to rent another place, I completely understand.

We arrived in Nyc on Christmas, the city was empty and heartbreaking. On the 5th floor of a small building there was a warm and cozy apartment: it would be our house for the next 7 days. Well furnished with everything you need, good heating...More

About the neighbourhood
The Upper West Side is a primarily residential neighborhood, but it can serve as a great home base for visitors to New York City, and is certainly worth exploring if you have time. The Upper West Side provide visitors an escape from the chaos of Midtown and other heavily touristed areas. It is a convenient location for exploring Central Park , as well as the American Museum of Natural History , and the many subways and buses make it easy to explore other areas of the city. It is a great neighborhood for shopping (especially at gourmet stores, like Zabar's and Fairway), and the brownstone lined blocks and luxury apartment buildings make the Upper West Side well worth strolling around. You Can also enjoy an Opera or Ballet at the Lincoln Center within a short 10min walk down Colombus Ave... more
