We are located in a prime residential neighborhood 2 blocks from Kailua Beach Park Entrance as well as downtown. And for those of you traveling without a car, a major bus line is just around the corner.
Here you will be surrounded by lush landscaping and find comfort and relaxation.
Relax under the fragrant Plumeria tree in your own private garden, BBQ on your gas grill, or take a short walk downtown to enjoy an abundance of great restaurant offerings.
The Suite Aloha island retreat was completely renovated (that is an understatement - it is actually a brand new addition to the house) and designed with beach cottage charm in mind to match of the rest of the house. It is part of our house, but is completely private and offers:

Wonderful Place to stay with everything you need

Wonderful time in Kailua with wonderful host
The apartment is small but nice. It has the hawaiian aloha flair and we felt comfortable from the beginning. It is very cozy.
There is nothing missing. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom offers everything you need. There are a lot of things we didn‘t expected, like snorkel equipment, beach chairs & towels etc.
The location is very good, you can reach every point on the island in good distance.
Sabine and Ray are very heartfelt hosts. They gave us a lot of tips what to do on the island and they make our vacation a special one.

True Aloha
We spent a wonderful month here working remotely and enjoying Kailua. The accomodations were perfect - a real home away from home - and as hosts, Sabine & Ray practice aloha that’s lightyears beyond what we expect at a vacation/travel rental.
The room is cozy and well-furnished, but not at all cramped. Even with our two schedules of video meetings and phone calls over four weeks, we had no space issues. Our work needs aside, serious consideration has gone into making sure guests can be comfortable and make the most of the island. The kitchen has everything you'll need for basic cooking or grilling, and the outdoor space is perfect for stashing your beach gear or enjoying dinner in the shade of the gorgeous fairy-lit plumeria. The hosts have also added some really thoughtful touches like boogie boards, beach chairs and an umbrella, and a binder of info about food and attractions in the area.
The location is perfect, even without a car. There’s a stunning view of Olomana and the Ko’olau mountains just past the front yard, and you’re about 10 minutes from everything you need in a day of island life: Kailua and Lanikai beaches, shops and restaurants in town, the Thursday evening farmers market, and bus stops. In another 10-15 minutes, you can reach the Lanikai pillbox trail head, the Kawainui Marsh walking trail, or the new Boots & Kimo's in Enchanted Lake.
Our stay really would not have been the same without the hosts, Sabine & Ray, who frequently surprised us with their exceptional kindness. They left fresh fruit in the unit for our arrival, shared some of their favorite recipes and local snacks, managed yard work around our work schedules, and were always up for conversation. If you prefer to keep to yourself, that aloha spirit will still be evident in the unit’s thoughtful extras - all the beach gear, plus snorkeling sets, stocked Kona coffee, and more. Our visit to Kailua was more memorable because of them, and we look forward to returning soon.

Wonderful hosts, great location, charming accomodation
Charming place to stay, great location. Walking distance to both a good beach and some lovely independent shops and restaurants. Good access by car or bus to the Island. Considerate kind hosts who provide a wealth of local knowledge and information about the local area and the Island.

Suite Aloha is a wonderful lokation. We felt very comfortable!
Sabine and Ray warmly welcomed us. The cottage is very sweet.
The location is great, very close to the sea and on one of the most beautiful beaches!
We were able to walk there. Ray drove us to a small vegetable market and gave us good tips. We could feel the aloha spirit. Just a wonderful vacation!!!
We will come back and recommend it

Mele Kalikimaka - Frohe Weihnachten
So herzlich wurden wir von Sabine & Ray begrüßt.
Und in der blitzsauberen und gemütlichen Suite Aloha haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Von A - der weihnachtlich geschmückten Ananas, bis Z - der zentralen Lage passt alles so wie es ist. Nichts hat gefehlt, nichts war zu bemängeln. Ob Einkaufs-, Ausflugs-, Restaurant Tip - Sabine und Ray helfen gerne weiter. Den Sonnenaufgang am Strand und den Kaffee danach mit den Nachbarn darf man sich nicht entgehen lassen.
Das war der absolut gelungene Auftakt unserer Hawaii-Rundreise an die wir gerade jetzt sehr gerne zurückdenken. Wir kommen hoffentlich bald wieder

Awesome!!!
This is an awesome location with the beach an easy couple of block walk. It is also an easy walk to the city center for restaurants, stores, and more. And you can't ask for better hosts! Ray and Sabine are great. My wife and I have traveled internationally and have never met a host that will go out of their way to make sure your stay is great as Ray and Sabine do.

The place to stay when you visit Kailua!
When you stay in Suite Aloha in Kailua you are guaranteed to have an extremely friendly welcome from Sabine and Ray and to enjoy your stay enormously. The accommodation is bright and airy and Sabine and Ray are right there, next door, to provide any help or advice you may need. We have been regular visitors to the Hawaiian islands for many years - in fact I was born and grew up in Honolulu - so my husband thought he knew what he needed to know about Oahu and the North Shore in particular. It turns out that he did know a lot, but Ray showed us and taught us both a lot more, turning down side roads and stopping by stores and eating places we never would have visited. He is a mine of information. And then of course there was the golf at Kahuku and Moanalua (the oldest course in Hawaii - 121 years old and still going strong). So, when you plan your visit to Kailua or Kaneohe - don't hesitate, go for Suite Aloha!

Cozy unit in a good location
Suite Aloha is a nice sized unit with a basic kitchen, access to a BBQ, and a couple private sitting areas outside in a treed yard.
It is located a 10 - 15 minute walk from beautiful Kailua beach and about the same distance from downtown Kailua where there are many good restaurants.
It is also a central location to explore the Island.
We enjoyed our stay.

Wunderbarer Garden Cottage
Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Cottage mir kompletter Ausstattung. Der schönste Beach auf O’ahu ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Sabine und Ray verstehen es auf ganz besondere Weise eine Atmosphäre zu schaffen, in der man einen super schönen und entspannten Urlaub verbringen kann. Tausend Dank dafür.

About the neighbourhood
Two blocks walking distance from both downtown Kailua as well as the main Beach Entrance/Kalapawai Market (a local landmark).
Honolulu can be reached in 20-25 minutes. North Shore is a beautiful 60-90 min drive away along the eastern shore with the Koolau Mountains on one side and the ocean on the other side of the road.
Getting around
While everything you need in Kailua is within walking distance from our home, we still would recommend a car if you want to explore the rest of the island. Public bus transportation is good (though they keep it very cold on these buses) and easily accessible, but spur of the moment trips are just easier with a car.

How to get there
Suite Aloha is 20 minutes from Honolulu airport via H3. Some guests prefer not to rent a car and get here via Uber or Taxi and then rent bicycles as our location lends itself for biking being close to town as well as the beach. There is also a major bus stop just around the corner, which makes public transportation easily accessible.
For those renting a car, Suite Aloha comes with dedicated off street parking.
