Watch the whales from the lanai of our spacious 2 bedroom plus loft condo, in a family friendly complex. Ocean views from every room! The condo is decorated in a comfortable, casual, tropical, Tommy Bahama style. We have great ocean views, looking out to Molokini. The complex is located directly across the street from one of the best swimming/snorkeling beaches on Maui, Kamaole 3 State Beach Park. Our condo is located on the top (3rd) floor, with elevator access.
The split level condo has a bedroom with a queen bed, living room, dining room, kitchen and bath on the first level; master bedroom with queen bed, bath/dressing area and loft/study with queen sofabed on the second level. The condo has been remodeled with all new appliances, new carpets, tile floors and designer showers...

Excellent rental
Loved our stay and would definitely book here again. Condo was really clean, nice kitchen fully stocked for cooking. The kids loved the loft sofa bed upstairs. The master was really nice and decorated nicely. Fully stocked with lots of beach towels, boogie boards, fins for snorkels and beach chairs. The beach across the street has lots of turtles and beautiful reefs. Walking distance to local restaurants like coconuts, Fred’s, shaved ice and gelato.
The condo is on the 3rd floor so it has great views of the pool and beach. The condo unit also has an elevator for lugging things in and out. I highly recommend this family friendly condo and can’t wait to go back.
Side note we rented another unit 2 doors down cause we had a big group and we had to do all the cooking in unit 309 cause it was more stocked. Had more amenities and was cleaner

Excellent quiet location next to park, beach and ocean to view humpback whales.
Enjoyed watching humpback whales through binoculars from the lanai and just 1/2 mile walk to the southern Kihei commercial district. Brenda was very responsive to all my questions and had a well-equipped kitchen for all my cooking needs.

Good sized Condo
Great location in Kihei, across the road from a nice swimming beach. We were a party of 4 ( 2 couples ) and the upstairs/downstairs bedroom configuration worked really well for us. 2 bathrooms as well which was great. A good, well managed complex with a good sized swimming pool to enjoy. Can recommend.

Location Location Location
The location of the unit was perfect. Right across the street from Kam 3 beach. Was able to see turtles swimming along the beach multiple times. Lots of places to eat or to go shopping for food to cook at unit. Only drawback on unit was only the bedrooms are air conditioned. Other than that the unit was perfect.

Perfection Personified in Paradise
Let's see...a condo with all the amenities needed (gear, two full bathrooms, an outdoor shower on the property, commercial laundry in addition to the w/d in condo, tennis courts, concierge, etc.) along with an extremely reasonable price - there had to be a catch.
The reality is there was no catch. This lovely property across the street from the beach was perfect. Although we had brought our own snorkeling gear, one of our traveling companions did not. However, just like Mary Poppins and her bag with everything you need, the condo had an external storage closet with everything from boogie boards to snorkeling gears to chairs.
The layout of the condo was perfect for our small group (5). The loft was great for my friend's teenage nephew, as he had his own space and didn't have to share. The condo had the added benefit of a bookshelf with a great selection of beach reads to borrow along with countless glossy travel magazines and brochures peppered throughout the living space. WiFi was spotty, but this is Hawaii and it's about relaxing and recharging your batteries and not your personal devices.
As mentioned in my ratings, the price was great. Given all the benefits this condo offers, the owners are providing an extra gift to those who rent it. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone interested in it.

Well stocked and comfortable.
Great location, right across the street from the beach. The condo was large and the owners had thought out everything you might need to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable, from beach chairs to coffee filters. We particularly appreciated being able to use their private laundry facilities and the really comfortable beds.
The owners were a pleasure to deal with, even returning clothes to us that we accidentally left in the condo.
The bathrooms were both very nicely renovated, with the showers large and tiled. This was a bit of a drawback for our toddlers who needed baths, but was a definite bonus for anyone who wants a nice long shower.
Location near the elevator was handy for strollers, luggage, etc. and wifi was a nice bonus for those of us who need to be connected, even on a holiday!
The pool was a bit small and lacked comfortable chairs or shade, but was still well received by our kids.

Excellent location, comfortable condo, all the amenities you need
This is a nicely furnished condo, 2 bdrm/2 bath, with another pull-out bed in the loft/office. It's on the 3rd (top) floor - with an elevator if needed - of the second building in from the road (meaning it is perfect... close enough to walk to the beach, right across the street, even with chairs and boogie boards, yet far enough from the street that traffic noise is not an issue). This complex has 2 nice pools, shared BBQ area in the garden, and is well managed and maintained. It's near the south end of Kehei (near Wailea), and a bit of a walk to shops or restaurants (or a 4 minute drive up the road). Again, for us, pretty much perfect.
This unit is clean and well maintained. Parts of the place must have been upgraded since the complex was built in the 70's, and certainly the showers have been re-done (spacious, tiled) and are very nice. All appliances, cooking utensils, plates, cutlery, etc is perfect, and the patio closet contained (for our use) all manner of "beach rental" things.... boogie boards, beach chairs, surf boards, pool paraphanalia for any kids, charcoal and BBQ tools, beach mats, snorkel gear, etc.
The TV is good, the stereo is fine, the wireless works perfectly, the neighbors are friendly, the stove and fridge work, the birds wake you up in the morning, the ocean is a tee-shot away. What's not to like? This comfortable place is nice to come home to after any day of Maui activities. The owners obviously take pride in this place, and are up front about who they are and how to contact them any time with any questions. The condo even has family photos on the wall and a guest book that many many renters have filled. Highly recommended, but you have to book WAY ahead, because it's a popular unit.

Hale Kameole #309 - A great find!!
We ust returned from a glorious holiday to Maui (10 days) and the Molokai (4 days). This is our 7th trip to the Islands, and I fall more in love every time! Maui had last been a destination in 1995 and although we found a lot of changes - much has stayed the same. We stayed, for the first time, in #309 (Hale Kamaole) - a 3rd story condo with an ocean view - renting the unit through Vrbo. This was a very clean and well appointed condo and allowed the four of us (2 couples) ample room and comfotable surroundings. The owner (Brenda) was easy to deal with and always helpful and honest. We loved so much about this location - it's proximitiy to Kamaole 3 Beach (right across the road, and a really great beach in it's own), shopping, dining and, of course, the beaches in Wailea (Ulua and Big Beach). The condo was extremely clean and...well, comfortable - the kind of place that you're anxious to return to after a long and tough day of beaching or shopping. Do not think we missed having cocktails on the lanai one day, watching the sun go down to the tunes of other residents performing their "conch" ceremony (not to be missed). We all loved this place, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Best Ever Family Vacation!
The time we spent together as a family in Kihei, Maui was spectacular! The Lane's condo was clean, well maintained with all the comforts of home, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed being just steps from the beach. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance, but the area was not overrun with tourists. This was truly a vacation worth repeating again someday soon :)

awesome
Beach is right across the street, shops are walking distance, surfing, outrigger canoeing and Bars are all located on S. Kihei road while the four Seasons and Wailea are just down the road minutes away, rooms are comfortable with newer showers and carpet.

About the neighbourhood
Hale Kamaole is located in South Kihei, near Wailea. It is a 20 minute drive from the airport. There are world class golf courses nearby in Wailea, Kihei and Makena. Also in Wailea are upscale boutiques, restaurants, polynesian entertainment, and the amenities of several luxury resort hotels including the Grand Wailea, Kea Lani and Four Seasons. Kihei has lots of fun places to eat and shop, on the more affordable side.
