Again, another amazing dream stay. The view is so amazing, we never wanted to leave the house. When we did, we always hurried back !!!! This house is truly incredible !!!

Just what we were looking for!
Turtle Rock was perfect for our family of four, you couldn't ask for a better location! It's close to town if your looking to partake in some of the shopping, restaurants and excursions that Kailua has to offer, but far enough to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Big Island.
The pool was clean and refreshing, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, plates, utensils, and the BBQ came in quite handy. Outdoor furniture was comfortable for watching the sunset, surfers and sea life that flourished right under you!
Geckos were out and about but not overwhelming. We did run into a few bugs and insects, but nothing that would keep us from coming back. The place could use a little maintenance but overall seemed well taken care of for being so close to the ocean. It was also a little warm because there is no air conditioning but opening all of the doors cooled off the place quickly.
The snorkeling down the road and even right out from the house was amazing, better than our excursion snorkeling by far!! We saw turtles and tons of fish, it can get a little sketchy near the rocks so be careful.
Basically we would go back in a heartbeat! A big mahalo to the owners for sharing their piece of heaven with the rest of us :)

Turtle Rock review 7/31/13
Turtle Rock is in the best location possible! Close to town (4.5 miles), and a block away from the best snorkeling in Kona. You can even snorkel from the rocks behind the house. There is no a/c, but plenty of fans to keep the house cool. There were a few bugs in the house, and some areas could be sealed better, but this is an older house. There is a market a mile up the road, so we would suggest getting some groceries and making some meals at home to save money. All the amenities are there at the house (dishes, washer/dryer, i-pod dock, iron etc.), so that was a huge plus. Overall, our stay will always be remembered as a great one!

Turtle Rock is the greatest!
Turtle Rock rocks!! Our family describes our recent vacation to Kona as heaven on earth. The house is equipped with everything under the sun. The view is spectacular. We enjoyed watching the surfers daily and the sunsets too. Beautiful!! Two wide parking spots right outside of the front door. We will be back to stay at Turtle Rock!!

Fun Time at Turtle Rock
Great location. Surfed every morning right by the house. Did want to go out to eat because it was so beautiful to grille local Ono and shrimp on the deck

Wonderful
Another wonderful stay at Turtle Rock, our third. We are already looking forward to next year. You cannot beat the view or location. We are missing the sound of those crashing waves and our nightly swims. Actually, we are missing everything about this house!

Perfect location for whale viewing and sunset!
This property to ocean front. Every evening you have unobstructed views of sunset. Every day unobstructed views of whales, turtles, dolphins and surfers. The property is right on a surf break so there is a lot of activity in and out of the water. It is located right on Ali'i Drive so the traffic noise is loud. Parking is almost impossible as neighbors and surfers alike park at the property. Fairly unresponsive rental agent when you call with problems.

Absolutely fantastic!!
Cannot hope for a location better than this property. Enjoyed watching whole sea view all the time. Snorkeled in the sea nearby, which was like swimming in aquarium with colorful fish and sea turtles. Hope to stay again.
