Beautiful view of Atlantic Ocean, whales, sea birds & icebergs from deck. Quiet & peaceful beach within a minutes walk. Enjoy the beautiful sunset and BBQ on the front deck. Boat tours, berry picking, hiking trails, cod fishing, museum tours, festivals, craft shops, dinner theater, winery, brewery, restaurants, pub & coffee shops nearby. Amazing Twillingate visit.
Lovely, clean cottage with an excellent view of the ocean. Beautiful sunset. Everything we needed and more in beautiful Twillingate. Hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable, and generous with muffins and fresh crab legs.

Great Stay at the Cottage
My family just spent three great days at this two bedroom cottage on Ragged Point in Twillingate. The views of the ocean are stunning. It is located in a quiet area but just minutes away from pubs, restaurants, trails, tours and museums. The cottage is very clean and well maintained. The owners live close by and they certainly do what they can to make a stay comfortable. We will be returning.

Check out this place!
This cozy two-bedroom cottage in Twillingate is perfectly situated to explore the region of Twillingate, New World Island, and is within easy range of the ferry to Fogo Island.
The hosts, Jeannette and Merv, are fantastic hosts, always willing to suggest places to see, or provide anything you might need.
The cottage is has a fully equipped kitchen as well as a BBQ on the back deck.
We spent several days enjoying the sights of the region, and just relaxing on the front deck watching the sun set over the ocean.
This was our 6th trip to NL. We have stayed in other cottages, cabins, motels, etc., and this is definitely one of our favourites. We plan to stay here again on our 7th trip!
I had hoped to add photos, but couldn’t find that option.
Definitely worth booking this place when visiting this area!

Our happy place for 3 glorious days.
Can’t say enough good things about our stay in this beautiful, cozy cottage. Watching sunsets from the front veranda, convenient local attractions, hiking trails, restaurants, blueberry picking outside the cottage door and the amazing , knowledgeable hosts Jeanette and Merv who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend Above da Atlantic

Twillingate Stay
One of the top stays on our Coast to Coast trip, the New Foundland segment was this cottage. Comfortable, beautifully decorated with cultural touches and the hosts heaping loads of hospitality on us it rates very high. Super safe and convenient to local attractions we cannot rate this place high enough.

Above our expectations
A little ‘gem’ by the Atlantic.
Comfy, cozy cottage with a view. Hosts Jeanette and Merv were lovely and accommodating. We felt a touch of ‘home’ at this Beautiful costal town at the above da Atlantic.

Great location as a base to visit the Twillingate area
Merv and Jeanette are great hosts, everything about the booking and our stay was perfect. Merv greeted us, made a few phone calls to book us for an iceberg boat ride the next day with Captain Dave (also highly recommended), made calls for dinner reservations, and genuinely welcomed us to the area and his cottage. The location is on the edge of Twillingate, a 5 minute walk into the heart of the town, overlooking the bay and with plenty of walking trails around to explore. Highly recommended for anyone staying in the area.

Hospitality Above and Beyond
Our first time to Newfoundland and we can’t say enough about the hospitality we received in this wonderful province.
Along our tour was a stay in Twillingate, where we arrived without a pre-booked accommodation. We called Above Da Atlantic where we were greeted by Merv. He was our host for our stay and could not have done anything more to make our stay more pleasurable. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family.
Beautiful sunsets from the porch, clean cottage, and if we needed any sightseeing advice, it was just a call away.
I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.
Look forward to going back again.

Cozy little Cottage
My wife and I have traveled to Newfoundland many times over the years, staying in hotels and B&B;'s.
The last trip we discovered this Cozy little Cottage in the town of Twillingate .
Check in was a breeze and there were no surprises awaiting us.
There was plenty of cookware in the kitchen and everything was clean and cozy.
It provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay inside and out.
The location was ideal for us on a quiet street with an awesome view of the Ocean. It’s very close and you can walk down to the rocks along the shore to enjoy a beautiful Sunset or just a peaceful stroll. Most days there’s a wonderful breeze with the smell of salt water.
The town itself is an easy walk or a very short drive away.
The owner Jeanette was very pleasant and easy to talk to. She told us about different things to visit while we were there.
Her husband Merv took the time to set me up with a local fisherman to try my hand at cod jigging. If you’ve never tried it, I would highly recommend it.
I was lucky enough to see an iceberg up close while we were out fishing. OMG !
Unfortunately, there were no whales in the area that day. That would have really been great to see up close.
We checked out a local winery which had wine tasting for a small fee. a lovely museum and dinner theater, which was just ok.
There were some beautiful scenic hiking trails, and we tried our hand at Blueberry picking, yummy……
Jeanette and Merv were very hospitable. They made us feel like we were family.
They are quality people who care about their property and the people who rent it.
We couldn't have been more satisfied and would not hesitate to stay there again!
