Sanctuary was perfect for our families! Four adults and five teenagers had "room to move." The outdoor space was great for our "taco night" when enertained three other families! There was plenty of extras that made it easy to live in such as kitchen items and even candles for extra ambiance. We enjoyed the pool after long days of beaching and boating. We will definitely recommend Sanctuary to our friends and family when they come to visit us...we are in the process of building a home nearby.

Rachel went above and beyond as a host, decorating Sanctuary Cottage with an abundance of fresh flower arrangements upon our arrival. We were in Spanish Wells for our daughter’s wedding, and Rachel was a welcome resource and a stellar communicator. She let us host a welcome cocktail party for the wedding guests and even let us use flowers and greenery from her gardens to decorate for the wedding ceremony as well as the welcome party!!! The place is as pictured, a sanctuary - welcoming, immaculate, well stocked, and super close to the best part of Spanish Well’s pink sand beaches. Soooo worth the money!!! Do not hesitate to book!!!!

Timely communication with Rachel, who was also very gracious and informative- went above and beyond coordinating transportation and orienting us, giving us tips about the area and excursions. Especially appreciated the quiet beach nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A big thank you to Rachel for her sharing her lovely cottage with us. Her attention to detail and friendly hospitality was more than we could have ever asked for. She was very helpful prior to our arrival and even more pleasurable to work with during our stay. This rental has everything you could ever want or need. Very comfortable accommodations and the yard and pool were beyond amazing. We truly loved this little island and the people were really friendly and welcoming. The beaches were fabulous the ocean was crystal clear and the weather was beautiful. I would not hesitate in recommending this rental and it absolutely felt like home.

This marks our 4th stay at The Sanctuary and it NEVER disappoints! The backyard area is an oasis - we never want to leave!

It all starts with the host, and Rachel is someone you will wish was your neighbor at home. She met us at the dock with a golf cart to rent that was big enough for our family of 4 with 4 large suitcases. She is the type of person you can't help smile at the entire time you are with. My little boys, even after chdcking out, mentioned missing her house and her. Shes a really incredible person... Her home is incredible too, much nicer in person. It's stocked to the 9's, an insane amount of towels, toys, beach items, cooking utensils, cleaning items and soaps! Its decorated perfectly. It has things your own home doesn't... We loved that there are 3 bedrooms on the top level, which made us feel very safe at night with our kids each in a room close to us. The house is just a couple minute walk to the beach and grocery store... The pool can be heated for a little extra $$ and it got hot, it felt wonderful. -- She has collected so many kids toys and beach gear. If you come here you don't need to bring a thing. If you've thought of it, she's got you covered... Spanish Wells is super cool, super laid back, very friendly. While we like going to new places, it's a true gem and I know when we start talking about our next winters trip, our boys especially will want to come back... Our travels to the Bahamas took us to the main island of Eluthera after here, and we've said several times how much we wished we could take her house with us... Great house, great beach, lovely hostess. Very well stocked with stuff, towels, glassware etc. all easy.

We had two families with 5 - 20+ year olds and Sanctuary Cottage was perfect for us to relax and ring in 2022. There were so many small details that made the stay more special - tons of towels, bathrobes, slippers and a stocked kitchen for meal prep. Close to the beach and the pool was fantastic! Rachel was a gracious host and was there for anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was clean and fully equipped. Rachel is the perfect host. The pool and patio is absolutely adorable!

The main reason I chose this property was for the pool, which was gorgeous in person. With two small kids it was great to swim when we weren’t enjoying the beach. Rachel was great and brought us avocados on a few occasions. We had some issues with the plumbing and she came to address them quickly. Other than that, the only downfall was the constant crowing of roosters at all hours of the day and night. I would recommend bringing sound machines or for the host to add these to the rooms as it is quite annoying. Very close proximity to the beach and local restaurants, ample rooms and beautiful decor. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend!
