This charming 4* self catering holiday cottage is situated in the heart of the Kent village of Rodmersham Green, opposite the village pond, the village green and open countryside. The village pub and village shop/cafe are adjacent to the cottage. This mid terrace cottage was built in 1860 as a farm workers cottage. Full of traditional features it is the perfect base for exploring Kent throughout the year. Candy Cottage has two bedrooms and is beautifully decorated, providing a calm and peaceful ambience, with a cosy sitting room and separate dining room. Such a perfect little cottage for a family of three! Gorgeous decor and everything you could possibly need. Perfect location between the pub and a cafe, overlooking a beautiful village green - Fabulous!

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is opposite the village pub; the Fruiterers Arms run by Caroline. The pub serves bar and restaurant meals including their speciality steak on a stone. The village shop Rodmersham Coffee and Shop, run by Paula, is 4 doors away from the cottages, and sells a variety of local produce, papers, magazines, teas, coffees, cakes, lunches and snacks. On a sunny day you can sit outside, relax and enjoy the view of village life. Pre-ordered food boxes (at an extra cost) are available from the store, ready for your arrival. Just 2.5 miles from the cottages, east of Sittingbourne, you will be able to join the No.1 Cycle Route, which follows the North Kent coast passing through Rochester and Canterbury. The ride takes you through the village of Conyer, along the creek side and past the y...
How to get there
Rodmersham is 2.5 miles south of Sittingbourne. Parking is on street; either in front of the cottage or in the quiet cul de sac at the rear of the property. Sittingbourne train station is served by mainline services including the Highspeed service to Ebbsfleet (Eurostar station) (journey time approx 40 minutes), Stratford (for the huge Westfield shopping centre and Olympic park complex) (approx 50 minutes) and London (St Pancreas) (approx 60 minutes).
