We had a great time staying in thos house. It had everything we needed and it was very comfortable and had plenty of space for 6 people. The hot tub was great and comfy enough for 4 people. we didn't have a chance to use the sauna as it never seemed to work when we wanted to use it.i think it must have an auto shut off on it. We didn't have enough time or energy to figure it out. Very close to the mountain and Alchemist Brewery is right down the road. I gave 4 stars for the check in process only because housekeeping was late getting the house clean for us and we had to wait until 5 to get in. Mark was very good about communicating with us and was very apologetic with the situation. We would stay here again.

Mark's property was the perfect property for our family. We felt right at home during our stay. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped and comfortable to work in. (Highly recommend making bison burgers with some local cheese.) The large dining table was great for meals and playing family games in the evening. Everyone enjoyed the cozy wood fires in the fireplace and there was firewood already stacked in the garage. Dips in the hot tub were also great. Best of all was the location. It was so pretty! The house is just a short drive away from the ski resort and still in a fantastic location for walks with our dog Cosmo very near the Recreational Trail. Cosmo loved the spot as much as all the rest of us - lots of floor space to stretch out on and, being a dog, loved lounging in front of the fire. There was plenty of room for our two tall teenage sons and my husband and I with comfortable bedroom spaces. Thank you again to the hosts for a fantastic Stowe getaway.

Great location, great house, WELL equipped kitchen. Close to slopes. Heed the 4 wheel drive warnings the driveway is steep but house is also very private. LOVED IT. We will be back. Owner was easy to reach, responsive and great to deal with.

The place was very spacious and the way it is divided made it easy to have babies sleep while adults were playing games and/or talking loud without waking the children up.
The bedroom at the main floor has a King size bed that is very uncomfortable. All the other beds were comfortable enough and we didn't have an issue sleeping except for the two who had the bedroom with the uncomfortable bed.
Some doors are very difficult to close, which made it frustrating with young children because it was difficult to "baby proof" the place. The stairs are also quite dangerous for young children.
The garage is advertised but when we arrived, there was no possible way to park a car in the garage without spending an hour shoveling the snow out of the way.
We didn't end up using the spa as it had a weird smell to it. I did notify the owner, and he got back to me but I only saw the message later on our last full day there.
The weather wasn't great that weekend so we didn't go to the fire pit but we enjoyed the fireplace in the living room.
Overall I would recommend the place for people who don't have young children.

Nice home in a great location. Many places to hike, eat and shop. The house met all our needs and we really enjoyed using the hot tub and the fireplace. When I had a question, the owner was very quick to respond and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.
