SWIFTWINDS: Cream colored cottage. Beautiful, old fashioned cottage built in the early 1900’s. 4 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 doubles, 1 with 2 twin beds; extra dressing room suitable for infant crib). 1 1/2 baths. Living room, dining room, screened sitting and dining porch with full view of the lake and the Adirondacks. Grassy area and sloping rock beach, 20 feet to the water. Land crosses the road for bay/east views. Docks available on bay and open lake sides, shared with Spindrift. Dock availability depends on lake level. Mooring available for a fee, with notice. BOTH COTTAGES: Each camp has a gas grill and fully equipped kitchen. A/C in bedrooms and kitchen/dining area. Camps are unheated except for electric baseboard heat in Swiftwinds kitchen/sitting room. Wi-Fi/Internet service. No TV. Linens provided for fee. No smoking. No pets unless by permission of owner. Renters supply own watercraft. No jet skis. Easily accessible marina just a 10-minute boat ride away. Additional photos available on request. MINIMUM STAY: 1 week CHECK IN TIME: Sunday 3 pm; Check out time: Sunday 10 am. BOOKING: Deposits are due upon receipt of invoice. The reservation will not be guaranteed, and the listing calendar will reflect that the cottage is still available, until the deposit is received. ***Shortly after booking, there will be a mandatory phone call with the host for screening purposes, before your booking is fully confirmed.*** CANCELLATION POLICY: If the cancellation notice is received 60-days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date, the full deposit will be refunded minus a $350 cancellation fee. If the cancellation notice is received 30-60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, 50% of the deposit will be refunded (i.e., the cancellation fee will equal 50% of the deposit). If the cancellation notice is received less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, then only the Security Deposit will be refunded.

About the neighbourhood

The Long Point community has 120 cottages, all connected by dirt roads. Guests walk or bike around the community day and evening. The community park has a clay tennis court, shuffle board, and climbing apparatus for kids. The best soft serve ice cream in Vermont (in our opinion) is available a few miles up the road. Road biking is extremely popular in the surrounding areas, all in lovely country settings. Burlington (45 min.) is Vermont's largest city with excellent restaurants, museums, music shops and outdoor entertainment. Middlebury, is 25 min. south, with similar attractions to Burlington on a smaller scale. There are additional museums, shops, and restaurants and many hiking areas within a 25 mile radius.

How to get there

Burlington Airport is 45 minutes drive. Rental cars are available at the airport. There is parking for 3 vehicles at the cottage. Mobile homes and trailers are not allowed on Long Point property. If you bring a boat, there are boat launch areas and your trailer can be stored at the park.
