What a spot! It was a treat to be on the water and my dog loved all the swimming he got in. Spectacular sunsets. The place was spotless. Plenty of linens and towels for everyone. Only a 15 minutes drive from all the entertainment that Burlington has to offer. And less than 10 minutes from the Ethan Allan homestead. It was one of the prettiest walks I've ever taken.<br />

Two 'plan ahead' tips: Kitchen was decently equipped for a family of four, though is a bit low on equipment if you are cooking for seven adults. If you are doing that, plan on grilling most of your meals. The grill was great.<br />
Second, the property is on a steep hill. Do not take your frail/low mobility loved ones here in the winter as I imagine the ice would be really tough to navigate.

College graduation get together
The house itself is lovely! The views of the water are spectacular from most of the home! I would have liked to have received the check in code the day before at least just so I knew we were all set. I had written VRBO twice asking for an early check in and I received no reply. (I ended up calling and the woman I spoke to was very nice.). It’s a little difficult walking down to the house from the parking area but the house is well-stocked and exceptionally clean! We enjoyed lovely family dinners in the dining room looking out at the water.

Gorgeous winter retreat
Nice location right on lake but not far from Burlington. Perfect place to get away for some peace and quiet.

great place to stay

One path was well shoveled and sanded but pretty steep, the other path was angled, rocky and not shoveled or sanded very well. It was a bit sketchy so I shoveled a little bit to help out. Interior of the house was great. We loved the ping pong table and the open floor plan. It was very cozy and comfortable. We plan to return next year on the second weekend in February.

College Drop off and visits
Was looking for a place to stay with my teenagers and their friends as we did college drop off and visits at University of Vermont. This house was very convenient to downtown Burlington (15 minutes) while being in a beautiful setting on Mallett’s Bay. Although it was winter we enjoyed the sunrise over the lake, the peace and quiet of the area and going down to check out the icy lake. The house was great for people to spread out. Plenty of sleeping room. Nice to have the master on one side of the house and other bedrooms on the other side. Great lounge space for the kids to hang out at night. Well appointed and nice bathrooms. Would love to stay Here again in the summer to really enjoy the lake location.

Family Gathering
Very nice, close to Burlington, beautiful location, larger than I anticipated. Do think when you advertise /fireplace it should come with firewood. fireplace was a nice feature. Would stay again.

Nice lake house
Big house with nice lake view room and game room. Kitchen is nice with all utensils and pots. Everything is fine except for furniture in Living room they are old and need replacement.
